Considering Putin seems willing to end this war sooner rather than later, it implies that Russia has taken as much as they want/can of Ukraine. The deal will probably involve Russia leaving the tiny bits in the north to be able to say they are compromising, but theres no way anything else is going back. Why Z man keeps embarrassing himself talking about Crimea being returned to Ukraine I don't know.

I've been saying it since the start, there was never going to be a march on Europe like the media and leftists screech about, neither was there any chance Ukraine was going to be completely conquered like true believer ziggers thought. The further north and west you head in Ukraine, the less welcoming the locals will be to Russians. Even if the war ends you now have constant terror attacks and unrest, unless you spend generations buck breaking to make the locals comply.

Not that any of that matters though, I'll be very surprised if any sort of end is in sight. Europe, despite being economically fucked and unable to remilitarise due to no materials/energy/useful manpower/spines, wants a war for some reason. Or, at least ensure total hohol death by supplying enough weapons and "advisers" to keep the war ticking over.

However these high profile security failures are still becoming quite tiresome. We were only lucky that no bystander was there this time (IIRC). But failures like the gruesome murder of Dugina in that botched op a few years back still loom heavily. Most haven't forgotten the endless shoveling of dirt onto her name afterwards by the lugenpresse either. They all desperately tried to justify the attack, but for that operation there was a rare glimmer of sense with the public. We even saw some U.S officials condemn it.

This has now become relevant again with the passing of the Pope, as he was another one who broke with the usual silence to offer up some milquetoast critique of hohol terror. While Pope Francis only issued a limp wristed condemnation of the attack as a tragedy of war the Ukrainians still flipped the fuck out about it and arrogantly screamed at the Holy See to retract and apologize. It will be fun contrasting that with the pictures from the funeral featuring the little gremlin acting his heart out for the cameras while wearing his respectful mourning fatigues.

Why would the Kremlin need to resort to violence when it has a myriad of other administrative or legalistic ways of dealing with people it dislikes? Dugin and his daughter are civilians and not entitled to any special protections. Even with all these generals - there are too many to protect every single one. And thanks to close relations between GUR and CIA the Ukrandan FIS are actually very capable in carrying out such targeted attacks. You complain as if you actually live in Russia and are impacted by these events as opposed to just having one team you're cheering for like most of us here.

Maybe someone here has a different take on it but to me it seems plausible. One of the few cases where I ain't so mad - Its a stupid rename, but I can't really blame them for giving the middle finger to Russia as a matter of principle, their founder was conscripted and killed in the fighting. Small blessing he didn't live long enough to see how shit Stalker 2 ended up coming out. There was something deeper going on because unless there are serious problems within your family your barely 21 year old American kid from Virginia doesn't end up dying in a Russian assault unit in Ukraine. Ukraine jettisoned Trump's peace proposal yesterday and made a counteroffer, which is the same unconditional Russian surrender we've seen before. Trump yelled at Zelensky in caps in his Truth Social shitpost. Zelensky announced he won't be coming to the Pope's funeral after all, presumably to avoid being yelled at in person over the Pope's dead body.
