I just rewatched the Wanda's pasta salad video. It's wild that at the time of uploading (June 2009), she was only 29 years old. She already had the heavy breathing issues going on in her 20s. I'm glad we got another fifteen years of videos and recipes after that. She will be missed.

I found this on one of her Facebook Sales Group Pages, Sara's Honeysuckle Boutique. The girl in the photo with Sara matches the PFP and other pictures on the Emily Robertson facebook. One of the reply posts indicates Emily is Sara's sister, but this obituary of Sara's mother debunks that. This is her niece, from Sara's sister/Aunt Carla Fitchpatrick, though. (Thanks facebook) so I would say this is likely pretty accurate.



Edit: Clarified because while the obituary above lists Emma Wheeler as Sara's mother, Emma's husband Bertrell does not list Sara as a daughter, and the quasi-obituary here lists Carla as her aunt. Per poster @Black Death , here, it seems there was some family shufflin' going 'round. Her mother seems to be Brenda Salyer Moore, which would track since Emma's obituary lists Brenda as already deceased, and Bertell's 1986 obit doesn't mention Brenda at all. I was able to find that Brenda Mae Salyer Moore was born 19 Feb 1958 and died 29 Jun 1981 Martin County, Kentucky . Her husband, Sara's dad appears (but cannot confirm) an Ester Lee Moore, born April 1946 and living in Kentucky.

Simpee never talked about her father, and with these write-ups there is no mention of her father anywhere, just confirmation that Simpee's mother died when she was small and her maternal grandmother ("MeMaw") raised her. Simpee is listed as a daughter of that grandmother in the grandmother's obituary, not a granddaughter. Simpee's food addiction did not arise in a vacuum, so I seriously wonder if this was an Uncle Dad situation or something. The way she talked of her childhood, it seemed like maybe it was not the happiest one, and her food choices confirm that.

To die of a bowel blockage, of all things. I'd noticed in her FB post that while she mentioned vomiting, there was no mention of anything coming out of the other end, which I guess makes a lot of sense in light of this new information.

Rest in peace, Simpee. I truly will miss your weird videos. What will happen to Jaime? That guy cannot take care of himself and he was wholly dependent on Simpee for just about everything. I hope he and Prissy come out all right.
