Still bummed that their potential advancements in action and combat mechanics is locked behind online. Also THEY FINALLY GAVE ME A VAMPIRE AND STEAMPUNK GAME AND WASTED IT ONLINE.... ugh.

Good to know this hopefully isn't an afterthought, but still can't help but feel like he was trying to bait the Bloodborne faithful.

Dungeon crawlers are RPGs, in fact they are the OG game RPGs you retard. Daggerfall, Diablo, the Might and Magic series, were all Dungeon crawler RPGs with minimal story. In fact modern RPGs with complex stories and choices an innovation that came about much later. You are the definition of a tourist

I'm still trying to figure out why Fromsoft is doubling down on making their franchises into battle royales.

Are they suddenly trying to break into Fortnite/COD Warzone/PUBG's market or did they just go loco?

Seems to be a vidya law. Once you gain a certain level of financial/mainstream success you abandon everything that made you successful and produce live service slop.

That doesn't has to mean anything anymore. His name has weight now, you may as well create a stack-builder and write in its subtitle "A game from Hidetaka Miyazaki" and the masses will buy it.
This is Nintendos Bloodborne. They want to sell their console with this, just as well as Sony did (or tried). If Nintendo was willing to pay good coin for this exclusivity deal, the game may actually turn out pretty well. But god, I just can't digest the FromSoft formula anymore.
 
The steampunk elements don't really fit at all in conjunction with the vampire shit aestetically if you ask me. Maybe there's a story reason for it that makes sense but aestetically it looks off. It worked in Lies Of P because the overall art style of that game meshed well with it as well as the story. I feel like Michaelzaki is just throwing rule of cool shit in a pot.

I guess if you consider the weapons and guns "steampunk" I can see that. I dont agree but I get it.

I love the Souls games from FromSoft, but my issue is that I've played them too much. I need something new. Do any of you have recommendations for another Souls-like game?
