Unfortunately, union membership has declined significantly since the 1970s along with good salaried jobs through laws and punitive justice and I don't think it will ever come back. Look at all the Right to Work states and other laws and policy designed to break up unions.

True, but a lot of those right to work laws are backlash to unfettered union support for Democrats. They start switching sides while getting a shit ton of new members and all of a sudden that whole Right to Work thing might slowly start to be dialed back (with little fanfare).
