That sub was unmoderated other than certain filters like regex keyword in place, stuff would be automatically removed on submission but it was rare to see any manual moderation. There were people who shit posted way to close to the sun there because it was unmoderated but they were downvoted and were ridiculed, I think snark still has some weird hyperfixations over the stupidest shit but its mostly harmless just very very parasocial and terminally online, regardless who am I to judge. Did Ethan well and truly "dox" any of these people? Definitionally, no. First dude has his real name as his Instagram handle so he was kinda asking for it, FAFO and all that. However, Ethan could have stopped at looking through the dude's photos and making fun of his style and let his fans do their thing but instead brought up a photo of his mom in front of thousands of people and insinuated that this guy's mom should know what he was up to.
I don't think it's a point of contention that IF someone from the internet called CPS on Ethan that is absolutely vile and unacceptable.
