Even though I was never a PlayStation guy, I liked watching his reviews on PlayStation games and his top 10 lists back when he was part of Hidden Block. Never got into it, but he introduced me to Vib Ribbon and his video on it is what I think about whenever I see Vib Ribbon stuff today.

I understand being being embarrassed by old work but trying to disown it is just petulant, even if embarrased you should be proud of what has brought you to where you are. Yea make jokes at your dumb star trek gun rating system but acting like your green screen Kite character is somehow high art in comparison is more embarrassing than any video. Honestly the most embarrassing thing about him are those odd world hand tattoos.
His newer videos are good, I appreciate how far how far he goes to deep dive like getting all those portable crash games, I just wish every single video wasn't over an hour long. There's only so much I can hear about game shit in one sitting.

He has a very sporadic upload scheduel, kinda like Jontron or Scott. From what I get, its because he tries to make a big video all the time instead of lke short ones.

The first time I've seen this guys videos were his old Max Payne reviews 1 or 2 years after they came out. They were pretty alright. I forgot about him until his PC building video came up in my recommendations and that was pretty funny. Sadly, I guess he's turned into a generic Video Game "analysis" channel making 1+ hour videos on some topic which I couldn't be less interested in.

Also, this nigger uses world too much in his titles.

I usually depends on the topic he covers, when it came to portable or bootleg crash games, I can see that going longer due to his love for the character and digging up all the info (fuck, amount of work he put into looking into those old Crash phone games, some that were just for Japan itself is amazing), however when it comes to banned games, that could def be shortened to 40 mins, mostly cause I dont think games he covered werent in the unknown factor.

Back in 2022 he made a video detailing his usual procedure when he start creating a new video step by step. Activating your schizo theory mode while watching can lead you to suspect certain things like when he made this joke: “YES!! THAT IS HOW I AM GONNA KILL MYSELF” which I don’t know if he is being ironic or I am thinking way too deep into it.

I appreciate it, thank you. For me though, it's not JUST the quality of the videos themselves. For any creative person, that goes without saying. There's a lot of heavy underlying personal reasons why I have chosen to distance myself from pre-2020 videos. Family reasons, life event reasons, mental health reasons, etc. I've come through all of it and everything is totally okay, but l've got far too many awful memories from my worklife before 2020 for me to look back that fondly - and all I see when catching clips from older videos is exactly where I was and what was happening when I was making that specific video. When people quote certain lines from older videos at me, all I hear are influences from very bad people in my life. Even with something as silly as the game topics I covered back then, all I think of are the manipulative ideas from very bad people in my life, hahaha.
I'm rambling though, sorry! I'm proud of what I have done in the past, and I have loved all the great memories I've made with things outside of the channel (conventions etc), but I very much prefer to keep looking to the future. Can't live in the past n all that shit

Reading this, it is very clear he’s resenting someone or perhaps more than one individual.
I will be an absolute schizo and will pull out something from my ass here but I cannot help but to suspect he is referring to his sister or at least partially. I absolutely don’t have any concrete proof of that but I noticed she conveniently disappeared since 2020. The only time I recall he mentioned her ever since was during his Spyro video for few seconds. Of course I didn’t watch all of his videos and never watched any stream so I could be completely wrong on my assessment.

Honestly this annoys the eff out of me too, I miss when his videos had idiosyncratic titles, like how his Hercules video was called "Disney's HercuLAY!" or Parappa the Rapper was called Pappy Rappy.... the new titles are just boring.

I think the [old] might be because he's one of those creators who always dislikes his own output and doesn't want them to be seen as representative, but like.... I think the bridge has sailed on that, Caddy my lad.
