The context of that "suicide bait" was Pxie downplaying her suicidality to Erin so she wouldn't worry about her too much. That's why Destiny didn't show the entire message thread where Erin claims to not believe that she was lying about the suicide. The clip of the Lonerbox stream was posted a few pages back.

Imagine some random asshole starts a long-term sabotage campaign against you working your job, and there's zero legal way to deal with the situation because the asshole lives in a jurisdiction where under aged people have almost zero criminal liability (until they turn 18, at least.)

Out of forced necessity, Destiny had to become the leading expert on how to protect a Twitch stream from DDoS (big part of this was, at the time, Twitch did not have their own systems in place to prevent/mitigate this issue. Or they were highly inadequate.) He arguably had exhausted every other legal measure to solve the issue, when he made that threat.

He still most likely shouldn't have done it, but I think this is important context.

If anything this speaks to Destiny's stupidity and cowardice. He could have taken a number of legal options but chose not to because he is too cheap. Sicking his community on or threatening this kid was his go to. Notice how upset he gets when an adult threatens him? His simping for institutions goes beyond his simping for the DNC (when he calls Sam Seder who he says hate the dnc lol). During BLM, there was a movement wanting radical reforms around policing and similar issues, and it was at that particular moment that he was starting to detach from the DNC narrative. This is because he’s an anti-reformist and wanted the DNC to go back to that statut quo institutionalism in that time period. I don't know why Straighterade has anything to say, if Steven thought that was a valid talking point he'd have emphasized it already.
