SS14 is bleak but I think eventually there will be some sort of solution. We're up to 2 off-hub communities doing well for themselves, the first is Hullrot which I see mentioned quite a lot and the second is one called Impstation which I never hear about and have no opinion at all on. Apparently it was never hubbed in the first place but pulls 80 players at peak times. Both of these seeded their communities from non-SS14 sources. Hullrot is ran by a person who used to run several MUDs which I don't know about, and Impstation apparently has some connection to WayneRadioTV, the HLVR guys. The bigger threat than dehubbing is deauthing which has been applied pretty randomly so far and seems to mostly be based on whenever PJB is having a BPDetonation. The last batch of deauthed were from when he manically went into people's DMs demanding they make a third party respond to him.

Imp was hubbed at some point but most pop I've seen it had was 10. They also didn't advertise any unique features they have on their server description which is pretty much the only way you can grow your server since people are looking for content. (One of the reasons why Goobstation is so popular)

Its github is crazy active compared to most servers although it is mostly YAML slop. About 6 PRs a day merged. (First merge was June 19, 2024)

One of my biggest issues is a strong amount of internalized transphobia that has kept me from realizing my true self. The idea that if i tried to transition people like you would find me cringe.

Being here, in this thread, among you guys. watching you willfully take obvious joke after obvious joke 100% seriously because that's how pathetically desperate you are for some milk, has made me realize something.

Why would anybody take seriously the thoughts or views or opinions of the kinds of people like.... y'all?

So for my final post on this account before i delete it from my password manager, I wanted to say thank you to kiwifarms. For helping me move past my internalized transphobia.
