There is some pretty good evidence that the reason that ship was boarded was to stop the Confederate ambassadors from reaching England with a offer to abolish slavery in favor of British and french intervention. it was a almost open secret in the UK's government at the time.

Previous envoys were not stopped by the US navy. The CSA had bought and been given hundreds of millions rifle cartridges, millions of tons of blackpowder, hundreds of thousands of rifles and artillery and several warships by the British government.

i'm not sure what you're saying absolutely not to. he is retiring, he said he's not seeking reelection next year. i'm fine for the consumption to take him tomorrow if that's the will of God, but he did make this statement. i guess he could be lying, but why bother? sorry i misunderstood you meant pritzker, i'm just a retard.
