Another way in which the left moved the Overton Window so much was by pushing more egregious views. Drag queens reading to children is not only demoralizing, but it makes it seem as acceptable and cuckservatives fall for a “common ground.” For example, you have people who ten years ago opposed gay marriage now oppose only puberty blockers, not the idea of transitioning as a whole.
Trump needs to do more egregious things. If he can call for TND then we’ll be discussing how PND is a good compromise.
This is called
the frame game. You have half of it -- push outrageous shit that isn't TOO outrageous on your side, so the less outrageous shit doesn't seem so nuts.
Ann Coulter, that batshit insane Uniparty shill, infamously claimed to want to kill all the Muslim men in the West and put their children in Christian Orphanages. This set up the left to pity Muslims forever (fucking over the West forever) but also made the "Axis of Evil" speech and war look a whole lot less insane. And all it cost Ann was a few columns in some newspapers she wasn't getting renewed in anyway.
The other half of the game is to
pretend there's no difference between anyone to the right of Mao and a 1488, asian girl dating, race war nao, /pol/tard ranting about the evils of the jews constantly.
There are some things that will ALWAYS be outside the overton window, barring some form of massive, massive cultural shift that will fundamentally change everything we know.
White Supremacy / White Nationalism is one of these anchor points -- barring some MASSIVE shift, the only "white" ethnostate allowed to exist will be Israel. They become "anchor points" where the overton window will always be framed by.
If you tie something else to those anchor points, like civic nationalism,
by calling literally fucking everyone Nazis and Fascists.... Then a funny thing happens. Well first, the anchor is never pulled into the frame -- they're anchor points, they don't move. But
the things you tie to it get dragged partially or completely out of the window -- the realm of acceptable ideas to talk about, or even think about. "We can't talk about National Populism, that's Nazi talk, the purple haired she twinks don't like it and will call us names if we do."
But more importantly, because the Overton Window is a range of acceptable shit on both the right and the left, once you shove some of the stuff on the right out of the realm of even acceptable discourse,
some fringe batshit on the left is pulled into the frame.
So maybe now the idiots ranting about killing whitey and openly discriminating against white men -- you know, to make up for white men doing the same thing, to make things "fair" -- slide partially into the frame. Maybe your UHURU, YA'LLs become
less electoral poison to your side, and more zany fringe characters under the big tent: Not seriously getting power, but we're not shooing out the clowns just yet.
Maybe in your secret enclaves, like your USAID offices, you start approving batshit insane things, because now they're merely kinda zany instead of outright obvious electoral poison. To you, at least.
That is what the left has been doing since at least the 90s. It's the system they lost control of when Tumblr broke containment about 15 years ago and all the unmoderated lefty midwits spread everywhere else overnight, chasing the unlimited free (child) porn they were denied. We're finally seeing the frame snap back as they lose control of the cultural engineering levers. This has other names -- the pendulum swinging back, for example.
The important thing for the right to do at this point is to ensure certain basic righty values are firmly in the center of the frame --
nationalism, civic virtue, meritocracy, free speech, et cetera. The left will eventually grab those levers again, and probably sooner than anyone thinks since they have the systems in place to set up this kind of cultural engineering operation. Once they do it'll be right back to anyone to the left of Mao suddenly being the most evil nazi that ever nazi'd.
