Other people have seen my art on here, I'm actually not half bad and not like most of the more affordable commission people (because let's be completely honest, there are a lot of affordable artists that will do commissions on Tumblr but their art is, y'know, fucking ugly and you're the choosiest beggar I've ever seen.)

So here's how this'll go. I'll draw an unironic, "appealing" picture of Theil. God knows I have enough references of her on this stupid thread. It'll be a bust, probably from the shoulders up and I've got an eye for detail so I'll include all her garish makeup and tattoos. Colouring, shading, the works. I won't make her look any more retarded than she already looks, I swear to God.

In exchange, since you can't draw, writing will suffice. I guess. I want a 2.5k-3k fic about Astarion, using he/him pronouns and only he/him pronouns, telling Theil at length and ad nauseam that she's the ugliest, most codependent, emotionally needy piece of shit he'd ever had the misfortune of dealing with. You know, there is something to be said about some people having a natural talent towards certain skills that other people don't have (though those naturally talented people still need to practice like crazy to build that skill and make the most of that natural talent), so I can sort of sympathize with Kayla here. But she seems to think that she does have this natural talent (that she never practices or studies, to make the most of) for writing. She does not. She has no natural knack towards the art of writing, and her laziness means she'll never do the reading and practice-writing needed to get there on a passable technical level. So a trade, for what I'm sure she expects to be at least somewhat skillfull art, is going to be uneven.

But don't worry, she found an artist that only costs $15, so she'll still have "most" of her money left.

Her craving for commissioned art of her OCdonotsteal is one of the things I understand the least about her. I mean, I don't get commissioned OC art in general, but specifically with her, it seems like such a frivolous luxury. Something you need the absolute least, that can't really do anything with. Maybe you could display it, but it would be incredibly cringe, though that obviously doesn't stop her. But it's something that she could easily put off getting done well into the future without any kind of FOMO pressure. I don't get why she NEEDS this, and needs it NOW. There will always be a glut of Internet artists willing to perform this service. If she's so sure her finances will be more stable in the future (we know they won't, but I digress), then just WAIT. I really don't get it.

Nothing would've been an acceptable prompt because she literally thinks an art/writing trade means "she actually gets two things". She wouldn't have accepted someone wanting a prompt that doesn't feature characters she knows interacting with characters that aren't hers, an actual trade was never on the table. She'd literally rather waste money on a dogwater artist than put any effort into an exchange.

Edit: Thinkin about that one time that someone had drawn Theil for free and it wasn't great because Theil's the ugliest thing ever but the most important thing for Kayla to reply with was "actually their outfit is a different color". Impulsive people are like that when everything seems FOMO. Back when deviantART was your #1 place for that sort of thing, the users who had the disposable income to be commissioning artists for their one OC was actually VERY popular in their community. I don't know if it was their personality or simply by virtue of being a regular commissioner that these persons tended to befriend the artists they'd pay and would interact amicably. I 100% would buy Kayla viewing it as a popularity contest especially since she was whining about wanting people to just draw her ugly Theil on a whim without putting any effort in "selling" the character to us.

Artists sometimes draw an OC just to doodle about if the design was interesting enough but with characters as ugly as Theil I feel like they would charge a high price as a deterrent to simply not draw it. Or kindly reject it, as many now have a disclaimer that simply having the funds doesn't guarantee a slot.

Even if she did have money to blow on OC art, she has such a repugnant personality and bad reputation following her that I personally wouldn't take her money. She gives off the vibe that she would be terrible to work with when it came to revisions and details, etc. I bet the artist peeked at their page, saw her recent meltdowns about not having her ass kissed, and decided to quickly write something for her overinflated ego

I agree, when she whinges about how like every other artist gets free fanart of their characters because they're so popular or whatever, she's usually talking about either aesthetic characters or, like, characters that belong to someone who's created a comic or posted a pilot to Youtube at the very least. Sometimes people also draw fanart of "popular" characters for the purpose of trying to work their way into the "in" crowd.

Theil is neither aesthetic nor has she been featured in a pilot or comic. The most we have to work with with Theil is the standard typical twaumatic backstory, the fact that despite BG3 being so diverse and fun to play different characters with Theil (and by extension, Kayla) is just an Astarion simp so there goes any interest in something different or unique about the character, and whatever Mary Sue tidbits Kayla likes to share ("Theil's actually a thembo but actually actually they're super smart and pretend to be dumb" "Theil's really good at magic the only thing holding them back is their lack of self-confidence and twauma", etc.).

I know she recently had an excuse to "infodump" about her mental illness HCs of the BG3 characters, which is incredibly telling when you consider she can't be arsed to write anything actually interesting about how she perceives the characters and considers their mental illnesses to be plenty interesting to write about instead. To be fair, I also didn't click on it so I have no idea how long it actually is because as it turns out, I couldn't care less what mental illnesses Kayla decided the characters have. That's not interesting or engaging and I don't have the time or the patience to try to read what some retard who isn't good at writing is trying to convey.

Because Batman Begins, Watchmen: The End is Nigh, Hellboy, fucking THOR, the LotR TT and RotK, the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, Alien: Isolation and Jurassic World: Evolution 2 all feature their movie's actors in some capacity.
