I'm surrounded by people like this irl and it's exhausting. Not a peep about the economy for the last four fucking years, but now suddenly they can't shut the fuck up about how unaffordable everything is.

Worst yet is they're still completely ignorant to anything beyond the most basic NPC updates. Every single one of the is whining on about how "Trump is wasting time renaming the gulf and not doing anything important!". We're under the most rapidly paced administrations in generations, in an era where information is more available than ever, and they can't even be fucked to check out any of the dozens upon dozens of major actions he's taken since his first day in office. Absolutely worthless people, I cannot articulate how deep my contempt for them runs.

If the Canadian PM gets very very angry about the idea of Canada being a US State, that would be Stage 2.

He's gonna offer Alberta alone 51st state and there gonna take it. It's ultimately will decided in trumps favor by the US Supreme Court.

Making people like this shut up is incredibly easy.

When they start talking about it, match their energy, then start exceeding it and become increasingly schitzo with your takes. Until you're saying that Trump is secretly ordering trans people to be kidnapped and executed and it's staged to look like suicides, or something similarly deranged.

Just keep going on these rants to people, until they end up defending Trump, or they stop bringing it up to you.
