A bombshell survey from YouGov on transgender rights in the UK has just dropped. There has been a massive slide in support across the board. Here are some highlights:
'The 4th study in our series shows that scepticism has grown across the board over the last two years, including among groups typically more sympathetic to trans people'
'On transgender social/legal status, % of Britons think...
Social
Legal
'Most Britons say transition treatment for transgender people should not be provided through the NHS
Hormone treatment
Gender reassignment surgery
'Most Britons oppose allowing children under 16 to receive transgender treatments
Puberty blockers
Hormone treatment
Gender reassignment surgery
'Britons oppose transgender athletes taking part in sporting events for their new gender
Transgender women athletes
Transgender men athletes
'Young Britons continue to have the most permissive views on trans rights, but they are not supportive across the board.
For instance, only 38% of 18-24yr olds think the legal process of changing gender should be made easier, and only 31 % say trans women should be allowed to take part in women's sporting events'
