Stasia reads the thread, and I believe it has been mentioned a couple times in the thread that Stasia talks shit/dislikes Melina.

Stasia's argument is that Melina was who introduced Destiny into the whole poly/sleeping with everyone you can, and also into the recording every sexual interaction. Destiny just took it to the extreme by starting to record people, and spreading those videos, without consent.

Well, and Melina stayed with him for a long time even after she knew of his behaviour, and lied for him. I've definitely softened my view on Melina over the past month, since the leaks happened. I do not like her at all still, as I probably agree with Stasia's point of view, but I also feel a little bad for her.

It seems a little bully to say, but Melina just ain't that bright. I think that in a way both Destiny and Melina groomed each other in different ways, but I think that who did the most damage to the other (by a large margin) over their whole relationship was Destiny to Melina. He manipulated and and pretty much trained her almost like a dog.

Every few months Melina would do the same Bob7 shit, of growing close to a new guy and trying to escape her relationship with Tiny through this new relationship with this new guy, but Destiny always managed her to bring her back into submission, in away.

I'd quibble with some of that because I think it downplays Destiny's history and his capacity to pull shit like this. He got nudes from Bluetea then spread them around without her permission 12 years ago, all while he was in a (nominally) monogamous relationship with ErisAnn. That tells me he always had the desire to seek out goon opportunities like he has the past couple years, just not the specific opportunities like sharing videos he recorded himself. Or maybe he did and there just weren't enough people scrutinizing him in the past, we may never know.

If there's a specific thing Melina did, it was getting him into the party drugs. Remember in August 2021 when the two of them tried to score MDMA in Amsterdam but ended up getting sold straight up methamphetamine? I'd also like to touch on the redact stuff a bit. I have no idea if the app stores local copies or whatever, but that's not the main issue with the JSTLK logs being "deleted". Even if you assume redact.dev does delete the logs from RustleSearch, Dan is saying there are multiple other copies of the logs. I know he's mentioned they have a private repo of the chat logs (probably with much more detail), and he says there's multiple other sites that log the site. Essentially, even if redact does delete the logs from the 1 public site, you're still signalling to Dan that you have something to hide that he could use to blackmail you with.

There's a lot of average people that made off-color commentary as teens/young adults in the 2000s and 2010s. The person they are now might not make those comments publicly but those were different times. There is/was also the tendency to overshare your location and travels (as Dan mentions). All of this cumulatively paints a picture of you as a person and having it all laid out for others to read without having to a-log it themselves is embarrassing.

"Weird shit" is relative and people's standards differ greatly. For instance, leaving your pre-teen home alone these days is taboo and letting your pre-teen navigate around outside by themselves is also practically a crime. All of this is to say that just because you have nothing to hide doesn't mean you should let the police into your house without a warrant. Being on this site should tell you that absolutely anything can be weaponized against you.

I've always kind of thought Pxie was too dumb to be malicious, but if she winds up settling—I'll have to rethink that assessment. I hope she gets criticism for it, something she has mostly avoided so far (for understandable reasons).

I do think she is the type to be too dumb to be malicious and that's why she's described as absurdly kind. I don't think settling is inherently malicious since the "most good" could be done for everyone if her alleged demands are met where the money goes to charity to help people who are in need at this moment.
