Idk why but curly hair is so gate kept now? As a wavy hair gal, I wear my hair both curly and straight-ish.

When I take the time to style it, there's always that one asshole who asks:

"Are those your natural curls?"
"Why don't you wear them more often if they are?"

Convenience. I'm still new to wet styling and it takes FOREVER.

Got a replacement phone a few years ago, and not even a day later I was getting at least thirty spam callers a day. I've taken to blocking any number I don't know that doesn't leave a message, and then I usually block those because they're ... well, usually spam callers.

Thread tax: living in the middle of buttfuck nowhere means there's nothing open at midnight, not even the gas stations.

Then individual towns start declaring rolling "Pride Weeks" over the summer and they repeat the same shit all over again.

The justification being that the fruits want the entire month of June to tour Pride events across the country and want a separate carve out for their own hometown conquering humiliation ritual.

With no new updates, but of course a victimhood journoscum angle that the heckin' reasonable fag lawyer that demanded a town of 1k rural people hold a day of fealty in his honor. And any denial of this narcissistic demand was clearly discrimination and bigotry.

I saw a quote in that article that the poor township had additionally already spent an additional 40k two years ago in legal fees trying to stand up to the crybullies.

Muh cultural appropriation. Curly hair is not allowed for white people anymore. It started with cornrows a few years back.
 
Aphantasia is the inability to visualize in the mind's eye. Having aphantasia must really suck for people who like to read novels. Opposite of aphantasia is hyperphantasia: the ability to visualize vividly. Great for people who like reading books with no pictures, as that mental imagery in the mind can be better than any big budget movie made.

Maybe all those who advocate reading and also claim that reading is always better than likes of movies and vidya have hyperphantasia?

I think I have partial aphantasia, as dreams and imaginations are like colored smoke: not very vivid, and ever-shifting. There is also this annoying involuntary tendency of using mundane modern world as scenery for text-only stories, even when it doesn't fit. So reading text with no pictures kinda sucks in that the imagery is dim and shifting.
 
Social media. Scrolling Reddit or X for more than 15 minutes makes me progressively more MATI. The kiwifarms and to a lesser extent 4chan are the only sites I can use because I can actually call someone a retarded nigger if I think they are a retarded nigger. Motherfuckers who act like it's impossible to read signs on the road. I don't know if it's just a woman thing, but nearly every time I tell directions to a woman that involve a street name (e.g: "turn left on retard street") I'm always met with some form of "just tell me when, I can't read the signs until it's too late".

People are just, in general, ill-practiced at reading. This goes back to what @ToroidalBoat posted above: most people who claim to have aphantasia don’t actually have aphantasia, they’re unpracticed in the skill of forming an image in their mind, from both consuming visual media almost exclusively as well as a lifestyle wherein they’ve completely eschewed problem solving and dealing with abstracts. The. They use this as justification to continue neglecting such skills; it’s the same as saying you can’t go to the gym because you can only run a 15-minute mile. The.man this gets popularized by Reddit users because, in peak lumpenprole mentality, they exault being a moron at the deference of politically chosen experts.

I don't have complete aphantasia, but I don't have hyperphantasia either. And as a kid before Current Year, I used my imagination a lot and played outside freely -- and yet all along, "my mind's eye needs glasses" so to speak, with both daydreams and dreams. So I do not think this problem is some "skill issue" as you assume, in my case anyway.
 
Something I've seen in the last weeks, assholes who only ever talk on the phone in speaker mode. I was at the grocery store and some black guy was on the phone with on speaker, while he was holding it up to his ear...

Then I was in an elevator with someone speaking Spanish on the phone while it was on speaker.
