Further research pretty much rules out aluminum based antiperspirants having a role in dementia. While aluminum in the body does contribute to cognitive decline, impacts really aren't seen until something like 100mcg/g of creatine in the urine, and the safe levels for aluminum industry workers is half that. Basically you're talking about walking around an aluminum processing plant sans PPE for a 25 year career. Your position isn't unfounded though, since the 60s there's been research into aluminum in the body and cognitive decline, and in the 90s that was extrapolated to aluminum based antiperspirants, but since then there's been several meta studies showing significant issues in the methodology of earlier studies. For instance, one of the most damning and most frequently cited studies for aluminum based antiperspirants from 1998 was reviewed and it turns out that a large number of the individuals that ended up with Alzheimer's also had the APOE gene, which we know now dramatically increases the likelihood of developing Alzheimer's. The current scientific consensus is that aluminum based antiperspirants have a negligible impact on the likelihood of developing dementia, but research is still ongoing.I sincerely do believe further studies need to be made as preliminary studies have shown it isn’t entirely consequence free
As long as your pans are made after 2013 you'll be fine. The problem wasn't ever with the Teflon itself, but the PFOA used to manufature it. PFOA is a known carcinogen, and in the 2010s research definitively proved that high heat for an extended period of time can cause Teflon to break down into its constituents, including PFOA. Since 2013 Teflon is no longer made using that process. It’s the same reason I would avoid Teflon pans and plastic containers and food with red dyes and seed oils.

I understand why you had a pink hat now.
Dammit. Looks like I gotta stop eating the stuff then. While aluminum in the body does contribute to cognitive decline, impacts really aren't seen until something like 100mcg/g of creatine in the urine, and the safe levels for aluminum industry workers is half that.

More interesting post than the OP who couldnt grasp the concept that buildup of most things in your body over time might cause issues.Aluminum accumulating in your body is bad for you
