I was to the point where I would recommend Bambu printers for their ease of installation and use... Now I know it is foolish to do so.
Creality's Ender 3 series might be finicky and stress-inducing for the non-practical minded, but they're hackable as shit!

As a side note: Steve Burke included a note in his HW News today that he published an article on his site responding to Linus with receipts. I read the whole thing, it's got a lot of receipts, including text messages:

Whenever the topic of Linus comes up in Louis' posts/videos, I immediately think back to these videos from years ago:
I don't doubt Louis got some subscribers from that collaboration, so it would make sense to me that he might have this general uncomfortable feeling when commenting on Linus' bad business choices in a manner that he genuinely wants to. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I get, so I like that he's willing to at least say this much, because it shows he can be critical of someone that helped him in the past if the situation calls for it. Based on Linus' comments back when Steve made the "Problem with Linus Tech Tips" video in 2023, he doesn't seem to operate under this same principle, and you should treat friends differently when they make unethical choices.
Also fuck Daniel Micay. For a guy that contributed to making such a great mobile OS, he is a complete embarrassment. He stepped down from GrapheneOS "project lead" (he's still there with a different title) in 2023, yet still manages to be embarrassing.

Just to be clear, he didn't step down. He's still involved with the project, he just calls himself project manager now rather than lead developer.

I'm glad louis' wiki is giving him the motivation to make more content.
I'm also glad it's getting attention via word of mouth (or other videos in this case).
What he also should do is not just catalogue the bad stuff but also have links and places to go that has good stuff as well so that people can find and use the alternatives to the bad stuff. I can already tell that if someone shows these pages to a normalfag the big questions they are going to ask is "WELL WTF ELSE AM I SUPPOSE TO USE THEN!?!?"

Yes he's still with Graphene, just stepped down from that one title. I could have worded that better (updated my post).
Still a cry baby, and doesn't make me feel any better about running his OS. Still like it more than LineageOS though.

No matter how good Graphene is, I can't bring myself to use it as I don't trust Micay and I wouldn't be surprised if he tried sneaking code in there to fuck with types of people he doesn't like using his OS.
LineageOS is good enough for me.

I just reinstalled the OS on my phone fairly recently, so I really don't want to do it again for a while. But next time I do so, I may give LineageOS another try.
Overall it was great. I just remember it having some bugs that annoyed me, but that might be fixed as that was a while ago.

New Louis video. Apparently Google pushed out an update that ruined the battery performance on Google Pixel 4A phones:
While those that know how would avoid this problem by installing Lineage/Graphene/Calyx, etc, but since that's obviously not what most people are doing with these phones, this will probably result in a lot of "normal" people thinking these phones are just broken, and buy a new one. I do agree with Louis here that this probably isn't planned obsolescence on Google's part, but more likely just incompetence and shitty customer service that just so happens to result in people likely buying a new one.
That said if he's just referring to commenting on the Linus stuff, or the "drama" type videos, then yeah that would probably be for the better.

Only downside to this is that if he intends to only post the "NZXT Flex Scam" or "ASUS Warranty Scam" investigative type videos on that second channel, they will get way less attention, which could mean these companies don't feel the pressure to at least pretend to care and change anything because the audience and reach for said videos would be significantly less.
That said if he's just referring to commenting on the Linus stuff, or the "drama" type videos, then yeah that would probably be for the better.

Louis released a 1 hour long video on Linus Tech tips. The thumbnail and title makes it seem like he's very comfortable talking about Linus to me.
Edit2: You know it's serious when the autist printed out the receipts. It made me laugh how he wordlessly pulls up the papers.
Edit3: He showed an email from Linus, it's really bad.
Edit4: I recommend watching the video. Louis has left very detailed timestamps in case you just want to get to the point or see Mr Clinton.
