It's really hard to say with Phil. Deep down...I dunno, maybe. I used to be in the camp that gave Phil too much credit, thinking he had to at least be somewhat aware of what he was doing or playing things up a little etc. But I really think Phil is just that obtuse. Especially when it comes to social stuff, since it's been so long since he's had anyone to socialize with. It's like how Phil thought the original Sidescrollers interview went really well and they'd do another collab to just hangout and play Mario Kart. It took chat repeatedly telling and explaining to him after the interview that he looked awful and they were making fun of him. The only difference now is he's chased away the few paypigs that would explain to him when a social interaction doesn't go well, and even worse (for him) it's largely been replaced with larpers who pretend to support "the king" so he thinks people are laughing with and not at him.
