Re: statue of limitations, all she has to do is say the leak is recent. Destiny can claim it's not, but the claim will be enough to get it to discovery, which is the painful and expensive part of a lawsuit anyways.

Just legally determining if the leak happened before or after the law passed would be so expensive that he is genuinely much better off giving her $75k right now to fuck off. I'm not joking. He's out of that money right now regardless.

The only reason he might not want to do that is if there's actually 3 or more victims and they all were leaked together and all before the law was passed. Then it might be more economical to fight it. But he better be right, because if he's found guilty, they will get enormous fees after a full lawsuit.

That fight is easily going to be two years, possibly three or even more, in federal court with the Internet at large getting drip fed public documents to goss about.
