Spend 4 weeks or 2 months getting ripped. Doing situps and pushups in the morning before you start your grind.

But to a normal person its a waste of time. Which is why i am not a normal person (Well for this game i am not)
What would you say about this legendary game?

Is the pixel remaster worth it? I'm strongly considering it.
Depends
FF1, FF2, FF4 and FF6 are working well.
But if you want the more nerdy opinion on what they lack.

FF3 Pixel Remaster (Doesnt have Capacity system like Famicom)
FF5 Pixel Remaster (Doesnt have Credits intro where Butz is riding on a Chocobo, instead its a giant corporate logo SQUARE ENIX quickly passing by)
Originally FF6 Pixel Remaster had the issue of no credits at all, which looked legit awkward when the cinematic part to Narshe was going on, but they apparently caved in and put them back in there, so that it didnt look too stupid probably. Which is a good thing.

And also, originally Pixel Remaster had the annoying "Autobattle icon" that was on the screen on top left corner. You couldnt disable it at all originally and it was so annoying
Well that is fixed, now it only shows up if you press for "Autobattle".

So overall. It depends how picky you are. I will atleast say
1.2.4 and 6 are pretty decent interms of Pixel Remaster

Its not a bad game but it has such finicky mechanics that arent BAD by themselves but clearly feels like anything FF2 does was done better by the sequels.

The darker plot with evil empires was done better in FF4 and especially 6

The "exp" mechanic was done better by the class system of FF 3 and especially 5.

I do recommend playing it at least once but try to emulate the PSP version if you can.

The dancing girls in FF4 kinda took out the "stakes for the story" for me.
But i am super picky player aswell. FF2 does something that the other just doesnt do for me.

I don't really mind the main leveling system too much - I appreciate them trying something new.
Magic being next to useless and taking forever to level really takes the piss, though.

i am a softie nu-male , i only started liking FF games after VI

I've played a good chunk of FFI and IV though but II, III and V i've never tried.

I just finished the FF1 and FF5 pixel remasters not long ago. FF1 was stupidly easy. Like as soon as I got past the Earth dungeon I basically turned on auto battle and didn't lose a single party member. I'd say the best way to play ff1 is the nes version with a romhack that fixes the bugs and shit. The GBA version fucks up the magic system. I can't remember if the ps1 version is the same or not. Only place I actually came close to struggling in the pixel remaster was the Marsh Cave.

The FF5 remaster seemed pretty solid though. I wasn't a big fan of the remixed music at first but it grew on me. Though, I did manage to beat Shinryu first try with only a single coral ring but just barely. I dunno if that was just luck or because they changed the balance in some way but it was still kind of shocking. I didn't bother preparing in the slightest I just shrugged and went for it expecting to lose pretty quickly. I remember doing a shitload of grinding on both the GBA and snes versions and stocking up on coral rings and still struggling with him.

I still prefer the GBA version content wise though but it's hard to put up with the shitty music and graphics. I still feel like there's something special about the fan translated snes version though it's the first version I ever played and I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I gotta say though FF2 is my least favourite of the 2d final fantasy games. I don't think it's a bad game I just don't like it as much as the other ones but I still prefer it over FF8.
