Confirmed positive for Covid19 - 12/14/24

Doctor said I tested positive for COVID-19.

I'm hoping it's just a flu.
Why the hell did you go to the doctor and took the test if you don't trust what the test results are telling you?
Just order a dumb test for home instead also.
Almost forgot.
Nobody cares, it's just a coof, some people have gotten it like 6 times by now.

I have plenty of soups, snacks and fluids. Hot and cold. I hope I don't lose my taste. I cannot stand not eating.
Both times I had it I didn't lose my smell or taste. Both senses weren't as strong though, because my sinuses were completely swollen and blocked. Hopefully you don't lose yours either, I've heard it can take some time to come back once you fully recover.

I had COVID in March and ended up in the ER with dehydration and felt like general shit for a few months after the flu symptoms went away. My doctor said I had "COVID-19 induced hepatitis" which sounds made up but what do I know, he's the fucking doctor.

I hear making music can really help relax. Just remember to mask up. That way we can flatten the curve. We do can do it for each other.

Feel better soon

It IS just a flu, had it and it lasted about a week. You'll be fine.

Regardless of what it is, best wishes. Take care of yourself.

Fifth and hopefully final day of this illness, feels like it's going away as predicted. A cough here and there and some mild stuffiness, but I'm chalking that down to the winter season. I don't think I've lost my taste or smell AFAIK.

Thanks for the well wishes!

hey man i genuinely wish you to get better
its sucks to get sick during the holidays
dont worry though you will be alright in the end
Thanks! I actually forgot about the holidays. I just don't want to get others sick or overexert myself. Let's see how the rest of the week goes. I know illnesses CAN linger.

Hi all,

I'll keep it short. I have been experiencing flu like symptoms since the weekend. I relented and visited a doctor for tests. Doctor said I tested positive for COVID-19.

Don't worry fren, I've had the delta and the more serious versions. If you're 40 or below, don't chain smoke like a factory chimney, and at least take a walk longer than the fridge, you'll be fine. It sucks but not a lot of people have lasting damage. Actually, you're more likely to get it with the worse symptoms if vaccinated. The worst one I got was after getting vaxxed and it wasn't the rna one either.

If COVID was around when those actresses would smoke like it's candy, would they have survived?
If they were early 20s probably not, it's usually your mid to late 30's that it starts to catch up with you. Friend of mine smoked at 12 and continued until 21, made her asthema a bit worse but it went away almost completely in 5 to 10 years.

Duly noted. I don't smoke or drink, so that's one less health defect on myself.

After all this, I do have to disinfect the apartment. I don't know if I need to throw out the food I've exposed to.

Usually you can carry it up to 2 weeks after, as long as you thoroughly cooked your food it's fine, I promise. All I did was wash sheets, clean counters and door handles, was literally all I did and was fine.

I don't remember losing taste or smell, lost my appetite though. Glad you're feeling better!
