Some of them openly state that they don't care if their presence intimidates/weirds out cis women because cis women's discomfort doesn't matter. All that matters is that they don't feel comfortable/safe using male facilities.
I have no issues with those who want to have an "unusual" life. But if your methods of having said life are funny to me then I ain't going to sugar coat my words in an effort to not offend, they have the choice to dress / act / look a certain way. There's folks like that one guy with the wispy dead hair who ruined his marriage over trooning out and everyone in the thread justified it with "oh well the kids don't need to be raised by a depressed parent".
My favorite Something Awful troon is Alpha Null, 50 year old dude who discovered he's trans. His wife was accommodating and respectful of Alpha Null's gender identity so she considered their relationship gay, and was not gay or bi herself. What does Alpha Null do? Boast about threatening to commit suicide if his wife left him in the troon thread which was not met with people telling him how much a pyscho, emotionally abusive piece of shit he was. Troons are entitled to poonani after all.
He also forced his wife to paint his nails and tell him what a pretty, pretty princess he was because he never got to be a little girl.
