It's strange but based on my Twitter research side from a couple whack jobs the Diaperfurs seem to be turning against Shmorky in bulk, but much the trans community (or at least all the SJW ones) seem to largely still be white knighting for him....saying that Shmorky being misgendered is way worse then his actual pedophillia.....It's kinda strange as I'd assumed it would have been the way around.

In my humble view, art is the window to the soul. Sometimes the obvious is only seen once the hero-worship falls away.

Well that is true, but also many people can do work with some messed up undertones and not be a dangerous pedo like Shmorky. I agree that you can learn a lot about an artist through their art.....but also an artist has a certain degree control over what sides of their personality they wanna express to the public.

We both are....in that I am also a cartoonist and a jerk, and yes you can pick up on subliminal undertones and yeah, I could certainly pick up that Shmorky had his kinks (from my experience many cartoon artists are kinky bastards) but I could have never guessed how deep that went. I also think a lot of people less familiar with art, or the inner workings of an artist's mind wouldn't even pick up on those more subtle things.

One positive thing I've noticed on Twitter is the the Shmorky hate is still coming thick and fast, but the white knighting has fizzled out a great deal.
