Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Always seened really dumb to make it a first person.
Using the whip in combat or fistfighting seems really awkward in first person.
Did the devs not notice that every adventure game is in third person to make interacting with the environment and platforming feel better?
If I had to guess, MS didn't want the game to be "Uncharted: Microsoft Buyout Edition," though as @The Last Stand said in the unpopular opinions thread, it's not like Machine Games could make anything else. I agree with you though.

Well we're not getting a Uncharted for quite a while, if ever, and it's not like Uncharted didn't just steal from Tomb Raider and Indiana jones beforehand.
Seems like a untapped market.
Meanwhile footage from this game seems really awkward at times.
Besides, Indiana jones did the Uncharted thing like 4 years before them

It's incredibly boring. It's one of those movie games in which nothing happens and no challenges are presented to the player. It's just a bunch of puzzles and combat/stealth encounters a literal retard could figure out and open levels with very nice looking graphics but zero interactivity.

I'm sure it has elements of the typical woke shite which we have learned to expect in all AAA 2024 games
Indeed.

From what I've seen this was a missed opportunity for a decent Indiana Jones movie.

Judging by the cutscenes it would actually make a solid 7/10 new movie (all though by modern IJ standards that's not a high bar). The gameplay looks so bad and boring and unintuitive that you wonder if they every sat and thought about actually making a game.

As I said in the SBI thread.
A bit of a PSA for the upcoming Indiana Jones game. I heard someone try to defend the game as they wanted an Indiana Jones FPS for a long time. There's a game called Deadfall Adventures on Steam. It's a mediocre FPS where you play as Quatermain. You shoot nazis, raid tombs, dodge traps, and fight supernatural enemies. It might be forgetably average, but it's the Indiana Jones FPS people claim to want.
I don't understand how people here are falling for it again.

Looking forward to playing this once someone makes a PC mod that puts MAGA hats on all the Nazis.

The game getting instant positive raving reviews has made me really suspect about the actual quality of the game, especially since it's from Bethesda/Machine Games, a studio that always has cocksuckers in line to lap up whatever they shit out. Gonna have to wait a bit for other reviews to come out.
to be fair machine games have made some AWESOME games before, and by some I mean wolfenstein the old blood. holy fucking shit that game is awesome, nearly as good if not as good as RTCW
