Whelp, finally got around to watching zootopia, and I thought it was amazing.
Goddamnit, I wanted to hate it so bad cuz fucking furries, but it was a fantastic and moving movie.
I feel violated.

i already knew i wasnt going to hate this film. i did know that once i saw the porn, i could never see the film again without thinking of it.Whelp, finally got around to watching zootopia, and I thought it was amazing.

I find it funny that more people seem to dislike Zootopia for furry reasons when I disliked it because their 'relevant' social issues message had all the subtlety of a sledgehammer to the teeth.
...which by the way, brings me to my next point. Disney's always churned out a generation of furfags with their more notable films; such as Robin Hood for the old school furs and Lion King for the edgy millenial ones.
Does this mean Zootopia going to be the first to create the abomination that is SJW furs?

So I work with the preschool crowd, and if you want to have a child that age understand a concept that is as complex as those needed to catalyze social change, you cannot be subtle.
In the end, it's a kids movie, and for children the lack of subtlety is perfect. As an adult viewer, of course, it is a bit much, but we aren't the intended main audience.
I think it's great that we have a film here that is beautiful and fun, yet is extremely poignant as far as classism, racism, sexism, and the other fun -isms are concerned. Hopefully it will instill in this generation of kids a deeper understanding of the terrifyingly prevalent prejudices that lurk just under the surface of our seemingly sparkly society.
/end sperging.
So ya my main issue with it is furries. But then again, furries are an excellent source of comedy entertainment, so perhaps not only is this movie helping shape our future in a positive way, but it may also be just what we needed to Make America Autistic Again.

I thought it was at least pretty clever of the movie to acknowledge that minorities can be racist dicks too. Racism isn't a black and white issue (heh).
