Sweden is impressively braindead when it comes to mass migration. We all know this.
However, weren't they one of the more based countries when it came to the covid response? They didn't impose draconian lockdowns whatsoever (they kept schools and businesses open the entire time, to my knowledge), and their numbers were, at worst, the exact same as the countries with the lockdowns.
So ... Sweden deserves some credit, at the very least.

If she were really concerned about kids health, she’d have lobbied to bring back serious gym classes (eg mile runs, weight room time, basic calisthenics, etc.), nutrition classes, basic fitness requirements, etc.
But of course there’s a correlation between being fit and being right wing, so I’m not surprised she didn’t. It was never about making people healthier or fitter, it was always about appearances, just as you said.
That being said, I wouldn’t mind if as part of MAHA, we implemented some basic fitness requirements to graduate high school. Even just being able to run two miles or something. But that hope deserves a massive rainbow sticker

Is it actually a new trend, or is just the research on it new?
I have a hard time imagining that stuff like early 2000s bro culture that dominated gyms at that time was any more left wing than modern gyms. Hell, go look at the ancient bodybuilding.com forums (rip) they’re not exactly left wing. Apolitical at best.
That said, there was/is a pretty big overlap with bodybuilding and gyms and the gay community, so I guess I could see it.
