Add to that offloading responsibility for the COVID slump and involvement in the Ukraine war to Biden, more Supreme Court nominees to lock in a conservative majority for the next few decades, and the scale of 2024 victory convincing millions of people for posterity that 2020 was unfairly stolen, whether it happened or not. What is there to “explain”?

COVID happened in 2020, and voters turned out against Trump to punish him for denying the severity of it and telling people to “inject disinfectant”.

Inflation happened during Biden’s term and voters blamed Democrats for it so turnout went down.
