In all fairness, I don't think most people use The Sims to pretend to destroy their enemies, but I do think the general idea still translates.
Thats not what I meant.

Everything I've seen of the Sims made it look like "Computer Barbie Dolls, now with DLC!" But it looks more like a simulation than I would have expected. You don't go into work? You get fired. You don't have any money? Guess you're not putting in that swimming pool then. I wasn't aware that failure was part of the equation. I knew jobs and fires and such were in the game, but I thought most everything was at the players beck and control. Its actually more of a game with challenges to overcome than I thought, only the theme of the game is "mundane adult life," rather than like, "marines in space save the world."

Its kind of funny too, because Jace WANTS it to behave more like a Barbie Doll House. Stryker is a Marine - he declared it so, so it is, much in the same way that a 6 year old girl would define Barbie as a famous and successful movie star. Its not questioned, nothing in this scenario challenges Barbie's role or her job, nor does she have any responsibilities from it; The girl says she's a movie star, so she is. Jace does the same thing, only the video game gives him a challenge and some responsibilities at the same time he declares himself a Marine - challenges he fails at, such as going to work on time and not murdering innocent people.

TL;DR: Jace would actually have a much better time if he bought some Ken dolls, some G.I. Joe uniforms, and a video camera and acted out his scenarios in a Barbie Doll House.

Part of the fun in playing Sims is fucking up horribly, if I burned the house down over a grilled cheese I would laugh about it and talk about it with my other Sims playing friends.

However, I am not Jace.

Do you really think he hasn't ?

How about G.I. Joe action figures, then? Better if they were Marines from the America's Movable Fighting Man line and not A Real American Hero.

Fun fact, the original G.I. Joe was modeled off a real life U.S. Marine who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Pacific Theater in World War II. His only stipulation for signing over his likeness rights was that G.I. Joe was always to be an "American hero."

And now you know.

And then the G.I. Joe movies happened and threw all of that out the window.

Yeah, I've never had any interest in any of the Sims games, but suddenly after this stream I think I understand the appeal a little better.
So, after watching the livestreams, I downloaded The Sims. I was a little put off by having DLC pushed in my face, but it seems entertaining enough. I think I'll dip into it every now and again, but all the chores etc you have to complete to keep your sim healthy kinda worries me. It seems a little bit like madness to play a game about being a functional human, when I've got my own life right here that needs to be kept in working order. I guess with all the DLC and time consuming chores I'm just concerned it'll turn into a huge timesink/fantasyland lol.

GI Joe wasn't a large part of my childhood, so I never had the urge to go and see the films, were they that bad?

I love how The Sims for Jace is like the later issues of Sonichu for Chris, right down to attacking and killing enemies. Since there are elements of the game that are out of his control, it makes it much more entertaining than the controlled (albeit equally clichéd and depraved) revenge fantasies exacted by Chris in Sonichu. So really funny shit happens, like him burning his virtual house down and showing painfully authentic anxiety about his virtual weed being lost all while his virtual dog/wolf doesn't ever warm up to him.

Jace even unwittingly used the phrase "true and honest" in this stream. I couldn't believe it!

This shit was pure gold.
And that's just what I think, dudes.

I love how every decision he made no matter how small always backfired in some unlikely and hilarious way. And it was always directly or indirectly his fault. Oh, and I fucking love Soap. He/She reminds me of Magi-Chan only better, a character that was created to be part of CWCs/Jace's perfect fantasy but ends up having their own personality and being subtly aggressive to their creator. Soap just constantly judges Stryker and does weird awesome shit with his own adventures. I liked how a glitch made him temporarily mutate scaring the shit out of Jace after he had just tortured and killed his first maid, or the mysterious boat escape, or how he gave Stryker fleas. And he STILL hates him at the end.

Soap the Parkour Wolf was an adorably stupid idea in the first place so it's great that he turned out awesome in his Sims.

Can I just ask... What is it with Jace and Bitcoins? Like... Where did all that anger come from? Did some troll do something with Bitcoins or some shit?
Honestly, the way he kept saying "Jew Jitsu" had me wondering if he was messing with people or just :stupid:.
Remember how he said CIADude prepared a dossier before the stream and briefed him on Jew-Jitsu, Bitcoins, and Ted?

Often the most insane/out of character things Jace says are fed to him by other people.

Infamous Israeli Palestinian Jew Jitsu troll Theodore Goldberg is a bitcoin millionare. Therefore, Jace hates bitcoins.

I think my favorite part of the whole stream was when Jace kind of trailed off into racism and retardation. "Theodore TED Goldberg...stein..." ten minutes of laughter from him making Ted even MORE Jewish.

Well... Here it is.
5 Hours of gold condensed into 28 minutes of gold.
Enjoy
*Fixed the cropping on Jace's webcam

Go to about 6 minutes in for the grilled cheese incident

So I just noticed from the highlight real (And by the way zookeeper, you get an AUGH YEAH for making this) is that he mentions that he "Stole all the illigal bitcoin gamerfood moneys" earlier, yet later when blowing up the servers, makes it quite clear that he doesnt belive in bitcoins

Huh.

Well, I do agree with his later view on buttcoins.
