@Gehenna is right and you don't do a dry run of your surprise tactic, but I could absolutely see these DSA front groups fucking up because, as I've mentioned before: they're retarded.

So I have a little info on this one specifically. It appears to be a case of absolute desperation. They were already having some pretty bad problems with voter motivation and were expecting some severe issues with turnout on election day -as is-.

And then Republicans began overperforming in early voting. And its all anyone actually talked about. The information spread like wildfire. And now a problem is a crisis. There is a very real worry that if Trump is known to be doing well it will shatter an already weak voter turnout game. The mindset of "Well if he would already win, why bother?".

I have no direct proof that heading that off is what is happening here. But it tracks and its the best guesses people on the ground have.
