The irony is that this tactic used to be much more prevalent amongst the Dems. And they do still use it, especially with gun control. But Trump knows that the easiest way to get a bunch of dumb people to vote for you is to make up an enemy and convince them that that enemy is coming for their children and then promise to protect them. None of these dipshits bother looking at actual statistics or they would realize that your kids are 1000's of times more likely to be molested by a priest or scoutleader or one of their own relatives than they are by a trans person.
