Well, apparently The orange burger flipper seems to be slightly ahead, but that's because the Indian seems to be drunk so often in the interviews and town halls and rallies she does. It's honestly like something Veep would have done.
The campaign gets a juicy, horrifying video and it looks real. They start arranging a snap press conference but also have a couple people do due diligence just in case it's not real. But they want to get out in front of it, be the first to comment on it and reveal it.
Ten minutes before the press conference, the analysis comes back. Nope. Not real. Digital artifacts anyone with good software will be able to detect. "Should we just cancel?"
Kamala says "What the fuck, the entire press corps is standing out there with their dicks in their hands! They're already seeing blood in the water, if we just don't show up and cancel it'll be the story of the week."
"Well, we could always just have you make a few comments about how your opponent is Hitler. Don't take questions."
"Won't that be really weird? To gather a big press conference and not take questions, while just saying part of the speech I give all the time?"
