It's legitimately crazy not just hearing this, but how fast the anti-jeet sentiment has grown. I'm hearing things come out of people's mouths that would have been socially unacceptable like three years ago. Not just the right wingers I know, but even the majority of people I know who would typically vote Liberal or NDP are talking about their displeasure with our insane immigration numbers. Trudeau is hell bent on turning the entire country into Brampton. This is an incredibly recent development. Especially since it's not hard to connect our rapid artificial population growth with housing shortages, scarcity of jobs, and the overburdening of our healthcare system. When the population of an area doubles, and you don't build a second hospital, well guess what? Now you're trying to shove twice as many people through a healthcare facility designed to accommodate that original population.

Pre-covid nobody gave a FUCK about our immigration rates, but the problems that stem from it are now becoming so apparent that even people who immigrated to Canada like 10 years ago or are the children of immigrants are going "hey this is getting pretty fucked we should slow down". Like, the exact people Trudeau is trying to target with his lenient immigration policies are now telling him to stop bringing in so many people. It's getting fucking absurd and there's no way Castro Jr. isn't going to get absolutely BTFO'd this time around.

I've only ever voted Liberal or NDP because I believed they were the parties that supported healthcare (my profession). I wanted free healthcare, timely access to doctors, safe nurse:patient ratios, and no hallway medicine. I was willing to pay taxes to fund those things. But lately I am (like many others) having a change of heart... maybe it's getting older and seeing how much of my paycheck gets stolen from me, and seeing the types of people who "benefit" from my tax dollars (hint: it's not the hardworking people who take care of themselves. it's the personality-disordered, drug-addicted, lazy ODSP absolute fucking losers and "international students" and their fat grandparents.)

I work really fucking hard on my feet for 70 hours a week and for what, so I can hop on a subway everyday and sit between a rambling schizo and a stinky security jeet, spend $20 on rotten meat at the grocery store and never ever be able to afford my own fucking home. I'm getting blackpilled to the point where I no longer care about my patients... if I have too many patients on my assignment then too fucking bad, they're just not gonna get the care and I'm gonna keep taking my lunch breaks and I'm not gonna stress about it. There's only so much I can do and healthcare already sucks, so whatever, defund healthcare if that means I can have slightly better quality of life outside of the hospital. I'm so over it.

It started to really effect the upper middle class and rich areas around 2020, where I live was criticized for being too rich and white and not taking in enough immigrants compared to the rest of the country. Now, I can go down the wrong street and feel like I'm in Brampton and some stats about population growth seem to back that idea up.

The parliament can easily and quickly remove a bad government from power if they so choose, at least compared to presidential systems like the US, and Westminster systems are all designed with parliamentary structures that make rubber stamping as rare as they are in the US.

And the best part? Poilievre won't change a single thing once elected. The Cons will play around the edges, make a grand statement about reigning in immigration - and then retain the 400k+ annual intake.

Going to take a lot of pain and forced awakening before anything fundamentally changes in this country.

Yeah, like, it's not hard to connect the dots when a new subdivision goes up and 90% of its inhabitants are rich indians who bought their way into Canada.

They are everywhere, you cannot escape them now. It's not a Toronto/Vancouver/Montreal thing anymore.

Well, not everywhere. Your doctor/pharmacist is just as likely to be white or Middle-Eastern as a jeet. The guy that pulls you out of a snowdrift with his truck will be white, as will your plumber, electrician, general contractor, roofer, shoe salesman, police officers, ambulance drivers... in fact come to think of it, despite having to see them everywhere, you never really see jeets when you need help. Just all the low-wage McJobs that big corpos employ...
 
Other posters said they’re hearing things out of people’s mouths they wouldn’t have imagined just a few years ago. They’re right.

My residential area is heavily immigrant based but with people who came into the country with money or hustled their butte once here to earn themselves a decent lifestyle.

But unless you have a lot of money you can’t escape the growing cracks in the system; most detailed upthread and heading for an explosion.

Nothing seems to be working anymore and none of the politicians have solutions in mind.

I grew up in a small city on the outskirts of the GTA, and left Canada in 2019. I just came back from a visit, the first one since I left. I was appalled by what I saw.

I hardly recognize my hometown. It's like every single local business, even decades established ones, has been replaced by some mega-slop-corp. There were no children playing outside, and the only pedestrians I saw walking around were Indian. I go to a local lunch spot, the only staff are Indian TFWs and the food is 2x as expensive as it was 5 years ago. None of my old friends own homes. My young family members seem sort of aloof about the fact they're working 2 or 3 jobs and still living with 2 or 3 roommates. I actually worry about my younger siblings' economic prospects a lot.
I loved growing up in my nice small city in Ontario.
It deeply moves me to realize that our younger cohort will never have the same experiences I was fortunate to have.

What the fuck has happened, and why did it happen so quickly?

Well all I'm saying is, is this is actually getting pretty serious so you should start moving in that direction. If you have gotten something lined up and just need some helpt to get relocated (and can prove you are white) I would also help you on general principle. I would not if you are brown as that would contribute to the destruction of my own people and homeland
