Gun-grabbers and the liberal media love to say how you can just waltz into a gun show and buy a gun with no background check, but if you are a seller with a table there you have to be able to run a BCI check. To be able to buy a gun without a BCI it has to be a private sale, which is perfectly legal and most private sellers are particular on who they'll sell to.

So despite what the lefties want you to believe it's not so easy to buy a gun.

I'm going to be nicer about this than others have been because I think you're a good guy where it counts, but you are aware that this is not the Fox News comment section, right? Can we maybe nix phrases like "the lefties" and "liberal hellhole?"

Would you ask the same about someone ragging on conservatives for big business or gay marriage? I'm entitled to express myself over issues I feel passionately about.

Yes, I would and will if you'd care to show me where its happening.

Alright, fair enough. I'll cool my jets with the political stuff because you did ask me nicely and respectfully and I do respect you. :heart-full: I still reserve the right to use "draconian gun laws" however. Plus you didn't tell me to fuck off like some other member.:tomgirl:

I will say one thing though. People who want guns will get them, regardless of laws, there's always a source. Anyway, performing airsoft drive-bys on Tyce and toilet papering people's houses is as gangsta as Jace is gonna get. He deep down knows he can't get away with shooting Tyce with the real thing.

He wouldn't have the nerve to do it anyways. Killing someone is not as easy as it looks. My buddy Mike was in the 10th Mountain Division and was a M2 .50 caliber machine gunner. His unit was out on patrol in Iraq and he was on the M2 mounted on a Humvee. They got stuck at an intersection and an insurgent came out of a building with a Kalashnikov and aimed it at him. He brought the M2 around and shot the insurgent. It really fucked him up. He called me drunk one night crying because he needed to talk about it. He asked me if he was a bad person and if God would forgive him. It broke my heart to hear that kind of pain coming from my friend, who is usually a macho, loud, and boisterous fellow. I assured him he was a good person and that God indeed forgives him because he was protecting his brother soldiers and himself from an enemy. He cried even harder and I cried with him. He thanked me and told me he feels better. He had a nightmare about it and it set him to drinking.

I have a buddy at work who's a depressed Army veteran as well. He's not at all the stereotypical macho "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" kind of guy that people think of when they hear about the Army. More of a D&D "dungeon master" kind of guy who's into video games, Sonic the Hedgehog, and other obscure/geeky interests. He was in Afghanistan and doesn't talk about it. I take it he has done similar stuff and I dare say, those who have are not the bragging types, at least not after reality kicks in. I'm not sure exactly how it's impacted him, but my friend doesn't seem to have taken to drinking or anything. He's still quite sane, so while killing someone has the potential to fuck you up, everyone deals with it differently. He's almost done with mechanic school (he repaired helicopters as his job) and works where I do to have some extra funds for things he wants.

I'm a bit curious about you, if you don't mind me asking, you have any kind of a military background?

Me personally? No, sadly. I wanted to but I fucked up my knee in high school and was in a roll over car accident about a month after graduation that fucked up my back, so I didn't pass the physical evaluation. My Dad was in the Navy and served on river boats in Vietnam. I know that he saw combat and I'm pretty sure Dad had killed someone because he only said "I was in a few firefights on the river" and then talk about something else. He also had nightmares about Vietnam and would be yelling to his boat crew in his sleep, which lends more credence to him having killed someone.

I have a few friends who have been, or are, in the military. I used to work at the VA office locally. I respect our soldiers and sailors very much and every person I meet that's in uniform or mentions they served I make it a point to shake their hand and thank them.

As you said, the people who have been in actual combat and have seen death, or even caused it, don't brag about it. If you meet someone who brags about all the Hajis he killed then you can be sure he never actually saw combat and is just trying to fish for attention.

Well said, that fact just makes all of Jace's crooning about being a FYOOCHUR MUHREEN that much funnier/more pathetic (?) than it is already. I'm kind of ambivalent about him, really. I kind of want to laugh at him, but on a more serious level, I kind of realize how much more fucked up the whole deal is. And thinking that all Muslims are terrorists and shit? I mean, if it weren't for Tyce and this civil war that Deagle Nation is going through, I'd fear for the safety of people at the local mosques. There are quite a few in the area, and Islamophobia is some serious shit.

Also, there's nothing wrong with joining (or not joining) the military. It's like the air force remark DeagleDad420 made in the wiki editing article, we can't all be ace pilots.

If Jace somehow magically were able to join any of the armed forces he wouldn't be the bad ass door-kicking super SEAL Recon Delta Marine SOCOM Ranger he dreams of. He'd be a REMF/REFU. A Rear Echelon Motherfucker/Rear Echelon Fuck Up. He wouldn't be trusted with a weapon, and would probably never be deployed in any capacity outside of the country. He'd be put on a base stateside and would be a cook or a gopher at the motor pool or something like that. And it would totally kill him that he's not out in the "battlefield" shooting "Hajis".

He'd convince himself that he was. That's the power of denial and insanity. Jace is invulnerable to facts.
