All he had to do was look sane. All he had to do was not go off on wild tangents and stick to the topic being asked about. All he had to do was not mention bizarre right-wing conspiracy theories about people eating pets that came from god knows what corner of the internet. The task was simple — and he failed miserably. I would feel bad for his wranglers and campaign staff if they hadn’t willfully latched themselves onto this sinking ship.
If a Democratic candidate behaved this way, and a GOP candidate spoke in a measured tone about uniting the country, I would be voting red. This goes beyond Dems and GOP party lines. America has a choice between a ranting lunatic who is out of his dome and someone who is centrist and has the ability to end this divisive bullshit.
Donald cannot open his mouth without dredging up the past and patting himself on the back, and this debate proved it. He used the entirety of his closing remarks — a moment when a candidate is supposed to sell themselves to the voters, to remind us why they are most qualified to lead this nation — to talk about Kamala and to deflect any responsibility for things that happened during his presidency. Absolute retard-level behavior.
