Which meal happens to kick your ass down the most? - Any factor can make some food you eat have a bad day whether it is expired, spicy, raw or your body just can't handle it.

For me, The Valhalla wing at one of my local restaurants have horrendously kicked my ass and gave me the worst pain I ever felt in my life. My stomach feels like it's burning all my organs. It was made using The Source, a drop the diameter of a penny was enough to horrendously kick me down and it was coated with another extremely hot sauce. This is the first and only time I would never try a spicy food again.

I tried Samyang Buldak Hot & Spicy Chicken Ramen because it got memed as inedibly hot. It was pretty hot, but definitely edible once it had cooled a little. Never really had a food that kicked my ass for being too spicy, but some shady kebab places have upset my stomach. Then again I never tried the bizarre million scoville hot sauces they sell, when the food just tastes like burning glass, what's the point?

We have a place called Coriander that serves a Lamb Vindilloo that has to be the spiciest shit I have ever had in my life. There's also another Thai place that has some pretty brutal kimchi that you have to special order with your meal.

There are no foods that inherently give me GI distress. The only times I've had a violent reaction to food were a bulgogi sample near closing time (so it was probably sitting out a long time) at a Korean grocery, and a Mexican restaurant where the spic cook obviously didn't wash his hands after shitting. I can eat the hottest foods and never get sick.

when i was in middle school they were serving some sort of spaghetti soup, it was the nastiest thing i've ever eaten, almost barfed, had to drink a full glass on milk with each spoonful of it to get it down.

I once ate pork fried rice from a Chinese restaurant in a Hispanic neighborhood. Bad idea. I was on the toilet from midnight to sunrise. My stomach felt like it was being stabbed and my asshole burned brighter than Betelgeuse. There were moments I thought I needed to go to the hospital.

By the time the sun was up, my condition subsided and I hydrated. I survived. To this day, I do not order pork fried rice.

I got a spicy chicken sandwich and ten spicy nuggets from Wendys once. Not very spicy but man a couple hours later it felt like I was shitting pure acid while being stabbed in the stomach. Never again. I got the worst food poising of my life from a breakfast place. The gravy tased off so I only ate one bite. I ended up spending the rest of the day on the toilet. with my head in a bucket. At one point I was about to pass out from dehydration and throwing up so hard. I dragged myself to the bed because I was determined not to die on the toilet with my pants around my ankles.

Food-court Japanese.
I had no idea, my buddy ordered for me, because I knew nothing about Jap food, and was just there with 'em.
I told him "Nothing fishy, thanks" so he ordered me some sort of beef ramen in miso stock.
"Miso" as it turns out, it is the Japanese word for "Old fish-tank water"
I ate one mouthful, and loudly cursed the Japanese race through gritted teeth.
"Nuke them again!" I wretched.
And I named him for a fool.

Última edición:
Of ones I get consistently, Korean leads to some cursed ringsting. The kimchi results in a very solid gook dook where you experience the burning for an extended period of time.

I cannot think of something more repulsive to the western palate.
Yov'll barbarians don't even like garvm

I tend to avoid beef because it bothers my stomach. But I got bad food poisoning from fish a couple years ago and fainted. I guess I lost too much body fluid. Everything went white and numb. Someone had to walk me back up the stairs to my bedroom because I literally had temporary blindness. I didn't eat fish for weeks.

I usually have a pretty stout stomach when it comes to spice. Bourbon has probably caused worse indigestion in me than really spicy food.
That said, I had pineapple fried rice, served in the pineapple, in Krabi and the joker of a tour guide we had told me "pek mak mak" meant "please" in Thai (it actually means "very very spicy") and my guts weren't right for like two days after that.

Mine is bizarre. I cannot for the life of me stomach butternut squash or sweet potatoes. I have tried. A few times. I don't even know what it is about the sweet taste, but it's off enough to trigger a wave of revulsion in conjunction with the mealy texture.

As for spicy foods, I fail to see the purpose of eating something more painful than tasty. I can like a decent amount of spice in a meal as it works with the flavor of the meal involved. "Ghost Pepper" et al. just seem stupid to me.

After having gastroenteritis a few years ago, I can no longer eat soft white cheeses e.g. bocconcini and the like. They go straight through me. Dairy in general is fine and I eat a lot of it but not those soft cheeses.

I don't think garum had copious amounts of spicy chili oil in it, and the Romans also had famously poor cuisine anyway.
Not all fish sauces have chili oil in them, though. That's definitely a later addition.

Most of my diet consists of sausages, asparagus and ravioli with cumin, Romano cheese and olive oil. Probably explains why I like the Romans.
