WOMEN NEED TO GET BACK INTO THE KITCHEN

My grandmother grew up in a generation where most women married, bore children, and guided the home. Most of the food they ate was whole food; the way God created it and cooked from scratch. Many of them had their own gardens. My grandmother did. There were few toxic chemicals in the air back then. The land wasn’t being sprayed with toxic chemicals. The water was pure. Women weren’t on birth control pills so they knew if they had sex, they would probably get pregnant. Divorce was rare. Women dressed modestly. It was a hard time (both World Wars and the Great Depression), but it was a better time in many respects. There were no abortions, LGBT garbage, no sex trafficking of children, no porn, and so on. Christianity and the Bible were valued in our nation, and most people went to church.

My grandma never took her children to a doctor. She had seven children. They grew up healthy and strong. They all lived into their late 80s and 90s except for her two sons who drank and smoked. (They both fought in WW2.) They didn’t have to work as hard to be healthy as we do today. The children played outside as often and as long as possible. They weren’t sitting in front of screens all day.

Now, our nation is a completely different place. We are being assaulted by toxicity in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the clothing we wear, the homes we live in, and the things we see and read. It’s vital for you, women, to be home full time and do all you can to keep your children healthy physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Go back to the old paths that God has ordained for you!

So, how are we to raise our children in this toxic world? I encourage you to listen to Tucker Carlson’s recent video. “Casey Means was a Stanford-educated surgeon. Her brother, Calley, was a lobbyist for pharma and the food industry. Both quit their jobs in horror when they realized how many people were being killed by the systems they participated in.” It is a fantastic video! The bottom line is that people need to stop eating processed food, processed sugar, seed oils, and stop depending upon drugs to keep them healthy. Begin eating organic food without toxic chemicals, and meat and eggs that are from animals that weren’t shot up with a bunch of chemicals but were raised the way God intended them to be raised.

Casey quit being a surgeon because she finally realized that doctors were treating the symptoms instead of getting to the root cause of disease and began teaching people to eat real food instead of health destroying food. She said infertile women, those with PCOS, and most other modern day diseases can be healed through eating. It will also greatly impact your children for good!

Women need to get back into the kitchen and begin cooking healthy food from scratch for their families. My cookbook is filled with recipes and articles about these very topics! Man will never be able to improve on food the way God created for us to eat it!

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

Genesis 9:3

What ladies you can't make every type of cookie from scratch you don't know how to make chicken tikka masala from scratch.
A good goulash if you make a big batch of it can last you all week.

g the one thing I'm going to say is it's not worth it making pie dough from scratch or even pasta from scratch I've never tasted the difference

''There were few toxic chemicals in the air back then. The land wasn’t being sprayed with toxic chemicals. The water was pure. '

I'm guessing Lori hadn't heard of DDT. The effects of which can give higher risks of breast cancer and obesity in the daughters of women exposed to it. This stuff was sprayed in many places.

''My grandma never took her children to a doctor. She had seven children. They grew up healthy and strong. They all lived into their late 80s and 90s except for her two sons who drank and smoked. I'm guessing by the age of grandma's children is that she lived during the early 1900s. I'm reading a book (The Poison Squad) about how unscrupulous and unregulated food manufacturers used to inject formaldehyde into old spoiling beef to 'freshen' it up, or use literal lead to solder the lids in canned goods, added Preservaline to old rotting milk which lead to the deaths of young children. It was not the 'good old days' back then.

'It’s vital for you, women, to be home full time and do all you can to keep your children healthy physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. '

So going back to Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best gender roles that mainly existed during the Victorian era when more wealthy families could afford to have the mother stay home instead of working with her husband in the fields or sending her children to work in the factories, will somehow make the world go round? She believes in a very idealized 'good old days.'

'Go back to the old paths that God has ordained for you!'

The 'paths' that God could ordain for women could vary. Discliple, ministering to others, going forth to proclaim that Jesus had risen, etc. Not all of them were 'Stay at home and make babies.' Paul even exhorted people to remain single if they were able, to better serve God, unless they were prone to fornication., then they should marry. This included women.

These trad types think their chosen lifestyle is what all women should aspire to, which is not realistic. If they like the lifestyle then all power to them, but they should get their facts straight before saying this stuff which makes them look ridiculous.

Yeah, we just need to double men's salaries, easy peasy!

The author is right about that Casey Means video. I've be proselytizing it to friends and family. I've been hearing a lot about chronic illness, toxic chemicals, and processed food lately and I'm getting scared straight.

The solution isn't "bitches get back in the kitchen" though. Women AND men need to get educated about food and do better. Waiting for women to line up to be tradwives and guys to marry them means a lot of singles and people who need to be dual income households just keep poisoning themselves, which is dumb and dangerous.

It is fucking difficult though. It's easy to say "cOoK fRom scAtCh eaT wEll jUst be heALthY bro!" But like in my case I work really long hours, am often away from home, and can't keep and store fresh ingredients or cook. When the rubber meets the road if I get home at 8pm I'm not wanting to cut up chicken, season it, make side dishes from scratch, and then eat at 9pm if I fall asleep by 10. Then throw half out because I leave to go out of town the next day and live in a hotel.

I've been trying to substitute more healthy things though. Looking at labels. But weird chemicals, preservatives, soy, seed oil, canola oil, hydrogenated crap, processed this and that...it's in everything. I even wanted to go to a hippie grocery farm to market natural food store I see every day but they're always closed when I'm not working.

I guess that the women on the cities eat take out/go to a restaurant all the time. The breakfast segment of fast food is growing rapidly for a reason, as well as some of those food delivery(?) services like Hello Fresh that a lot of Youtubers shill out
Hello Fresh requires cooking. The one you're thinking of is Factor, which is just Meals on Wheels for a younger demographic.
Maybe the sweetened condensed milk was less sweet back then. Some people say that most food products nowadays contain more additives such as those than in the past
Even modern fruit has too much sugar. Zoos have to treat some fruit like treats now because of it. Gorillas have gotten diabetes from eating too much glorious fruit.

We all do. But if women also have to work a full time job like the men then we need to share the cooking. If I can be a housewife, and if wages go up so Mr. O can support us both on one wage, then I’ll happily provide daily fresh bread and home cooking. Until then, if we both work we both cook

Ah! Of course there’s a grift
If you're eating anything other than Lunchables for every meal, you are oppressing women. Anyway, my wife's got a from-scratch beef stew on the stove.
Yummy. Might do one this weekend, weathers turning cooler here,
>trusting women to cook

There's a reason why professional chefs have all been men up until recently. Food is too important to leave to women and risk them fucking it up.
Ah now I hear this, but come on. That’s the chef artistry stuff. And they’re very good at that, won’t deny. But they do the fun stuff and the BbQs. Marco Pierre white types are not clamouring to be in the kitchen churning out three square meals a day, day in day out to feed a family where the kids won’t eat specific things or anything g fancy, any more than they’re clamouring to be cleaning the toilet and doing the laundry.

We should all be much more aware of what we are eating, that is true. But the loss of one partner at home has killed off the ability for most to cook like our grandparents do

Honestly, I'd say most women would love to be able to do that (with the exception of some women who like working). It's more of not being able to, especially since most can't afford to live on their own. Hell, most people can't afford to buy a house now and are trying to save up. I only know a few family recipes at that, and that's because my great grandma taught my grandma and my mom. Most people don't get to do that, which makes it even harder for anyone to learn how to cook if they aren't taught necessary cooking skills or knowledge as they get older. So when they need those skills, they don't know where to start or how to do it.

Despite being a top he-man woman-hater on this forum, women are better at feeding families. A man takes great pride in executing something well, being better at it than others, or even just being better at it than his past self. It seems to me that, by contrast, a woman feels satisfaction having taken good care of her people. I can't count how many friends' mothers and grandmothers, including my own, quit cooking once they were alone, not because the had secretly hated cooking all along, but because they felt there wasn't much point if nobody else was going to eat it.

As a mom cooking for your family is bare minimum.

And balanced meals, not Kraft Boxed Dinner.

That’s not being godly or traditional, that’s just being a good rural/suburban mom.

So much of this weird shit is touted as something trad when it’s just basic homemaking skills.

This is an issue that stems from boomers. Boomers hated that they eventually grew up and had to take care of a family -- which gave way to latchkey kids. Dinner was either batch cooked at the beginning of the week and you ate that until it was gone or something like a sandwich was shoved into the mouths in order to get them to shut up. These kids went on to do the same with their kids and now we live in a world where people don't know to to put together a meal (my mom didn't know how to cook when she first got married -- she taught herself cause her mom never cooked, she ended up teaching me and I'm teaching my own children but one family does not fix the generational damage that is already ingrained).
>Millenials trying to go 5 minutes without blaming boomers
>Impossible

This has been my experience as well. There’s just no point if there’s no one to share it with.
On the very rare times I’m alone I don’t see the point in cooking.

Two things that really made me stop and think when dealing with the younger generation at work was how things I’d think were slightly shameful deficiencies are seen as points of pride. Now I’m no Michelin starred chef- I cook basic stuff, but it’s healthy and it’s served up daily.
1. Almost none can cook, none want to cook, and none have any idea how to start. Despite there being endless things online to teach them . They are actually proud of being unable to do it.
2. In a similar vein, being unable to do basic home chores. Change a fuse. Paint a wall. Sew back a button. Really basic stuff. Again, proud of it.
3. Worst of all. I’ve heard them say they never read books and they’re proud of it.
It’s almost as thought they’ve been trained into learned helplessness.

It’s not like you can’t learn a skill on your own if it’s not originally taught to you, but family influence plays a lot into it.

Being taught how to clean from a young age, the value of not living in filth, not living with clutter on all surfaces, cleaning baseboards (idk why that’s gone out of fashion with younger millennials and zoomers but ew), doing dishes daily, vacuuming daily, people shouldn’t get cookies for doing it because that’s bare minimum stuff.
The absolute least to be considered a functioning human.

Learning how to budget and stay within that budget and how to pay bills- also a skill that can be taught and learned from parents, but can be learned as an adult as well.

Healthy meal planning with a food from all the important groups- taught, but it’s harder I would imagine for adults.

So thankful to my family member that taught me how to maintain and run a household.

It’s sad tbh that this stuff is becoming less common to the point where women are being lauded for it.

Society is doomed if no one can cook or clean or budget.

I'd prefer they didn't. I have yet to meet any women my age who can cook as well as I can. Stay out of the kitchen ladies being a master chef is a MAAAAANS job.

I think women are naturally less self centered than men when they reach mothering age and don't really have the "treat yourself" mindset men have.

I'm of that age and what got me to start cooking was the insane prices of restaurant food. I couldn't justify it and I realized that I could made better food at home for cheaper. People are willing to pay 11 dollars for a thigh and drumstick at Popeyes when you can make the same thing at home for 3 dollars with the only cost being time and a little oil.

My wife fits your experience though, she's just not interested in cooking and would eat instant ramen or takeout every meal if she's left to her own devices. I chalk it up to modern women being more interested in self care and not having that same "must care for people around me" meme implanted in them.

maybe in the past when adults realized that at some point they had to grow up and spend their time taking care of the next generation

but millenial women, and to a lesser amount gen x women? i literally laughed out loud when i read this. what a ridiculous statement to make in 2024
