edit so I dont double post: The radius and ulna are too thick to be those, they are most likely tendons. I was a bit confused because I thought they could be the two arteries that go through the forearm as well and the light made them look white, but I think the surgeons remove one of them to irrigate the rotdog. And through your picture its clearer to me that they are tendons.

Musculocutaneous latissimus dorsi (MLD) flap phalloplasty is quickly becoming all the rage for pooners who do not have enough skin surface area on their arms and legs to work with.

You basically hack up the latissimus dorsi muscle and the thoracodorsal motor nerve and arteries as well as the surrounding skin and hook it up to the mons of a pooner and hope for the best. Motor nerves are not specialized for sensory feedback, so you are crippling a muscle for nothing, basically. I know that the latissimus dorsi is rather superficial, but because of the scarring and nerve damage involved, I wonder if this will lead to some effects on posture in the future for people who undergo this procedure.

Skimmed through the replies, seems like they drop down after a while. The more you know, eh? They also mention "fluff", no idea what that means. Another thing I learned is that they were inserted beneath the muscle? That sounds extraneous.
The real shocker though, is how everyone is filling them in on how it's 'normal'. This implies that they weren't told about this aspect, or at least didn't pay attention. Do people, doc or patient, either party, really put so little effort into communication surrounding surgery like this? It's not uncommon to see this about "bottom surgery" (which is even more terrifying), but implants are relatively more well-established - you'd think the routines and process would be more refined as to acutally discuss with the patient what happens afterwards.

Post op bleeding every month with periods
Hey all, I seem to be having some pretty rare problems. I'll talk about the main concerning one which is the fact that pretty much every month OR if I take Ibuprofen for a couple days straight I will start to experience bleeding through my neo-vagina.

I received my surgery in Bangkok Thailand with Dr. Chettawut at WIH and it was a really good experience. When I got back home to America I was made homeless by an ex which made recovery kinda a nightmare. I've tried seeing recommended doctors in my area (Atlanta Georgia), but because the technique I had gotten (colon vaginoplasty) they are pretty confused on what they could even do. They look at it like its alien technology.
After emailing my surgeon back and forth, the only thing he can really do is take a look in person which means I'll have to fly back and get more work done with money I don't have.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be appreciated.

By all of the sudden, more or less, regularly 2 to 3 days during the first week or so of the month (timed perfectly with every other period symptom I have). My periods leave me with more or less full symptoms where I have an upset (not stomach but) lower mid region pain.

Its more or less a continuous event when bleeding occurs like this. I am currently using pads and changing them regularly. I sometimes do have bleeding after dilating, but that will go away after an hour or so.

He came out mid 2022 and got SRS in June 2023 so only a year after he came out.
He also had a tracheal shave at the same time that didn't do shit

This seems to be the important bit here. He's probably having a gastric bleed, ibuprofen won't thin the blood but it will make a gastric bleed bleed more.

@pink cigarettes is right though, it also sounds a bit like he bleeds.. most of the fucking time? He probably thinks wishes he's having a period, takes a bunch of painkillers for psychosomatic period pains, worsens whatever ulcer or polyp is slowly bleeding inside him to the point the blood gets more noticeable (and comes out of the fistula he doesn't yet know he has), and then interprets the extra blood as being the period he thinks he's having.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, albeit one that has absolutely nothing to do with menses or female-specific issues.

Yeah they're tendons. Tendons look extremely bright white when compared to muscle tissue.
