Youtube Comment Censorship

There has been an ongoing epidemic of YouTube censoring comments. The most mundane things will get banned without notice, while literal spambots named things like Mark Johnson can have entire threads filled with obviously botted comments. I didn't see any threads documenting this, but I found it increasingly common.

So I guess it isn't like Youtube was when it came out when I was middle school, where I could call people retarded faggots who like shitty things in the comments and feast on a dozen angry replies an hour. Sad!

I have been censored for fuck, bitch, ass, white cracker, nigger (since 2018), Palestine, fuck LGBT and plenty more. This shit been going on since 2016 my friend.

Nothing you can do about it. Youtube fears corpo ad dollars running away. And it can't risk offending trannies. I'm guessing the bot that deletes these comments only detects no-no words and not spambot trash.

I love how the comments censorship is pajeets not shitty AI.
But it is shitty AI.
Unless you have Pajeets sitting there 24/7 in comment sections of random videos and constantly clicking "refresh", this is done automatically.

Here's a test:
Go to any random Youtube video, type "assassinate him" in the comment section and refresh.
The comment will be gone.
Certain words and phrases are coded into the algorithm and a comment including them, no matter what the context is, will be instantly deleted.

>getting banned without notice

Call me back when you are on my level of kiketube asking me to reconsider the comment and when I refused gave me prompt for my 24 hour comment ban over a year ago.

This is nothing new, it's been happening for years. Many of my comments had been shadowbanned by Youtube for being too "radical". (simply containing keywords that might sound offensive, regardless of context.) As a result I don't bother to waste anymore time commenting there.

AI's inability to context also forces creators to censor themselves. Remember when everyone was afraid to say Covid? I've seen videos with so many bleeps. I guess they finish filming, review what might get them demonetized then bleep it out. All that work because some bot can't contextualize human speech and it's unmanageable to hoist the job on humans. Too much content. Too many languages.

Yeah, and then pornbots flooding the comment sections.

Feels like the ones who make some of these algorithms have brain damage.

As long as it's not racist and transphobic it just limbos right on under the bot line. Even if people complain nothing will be done. The only thing Youtube did that was even remotely helpful was disable comments on videos where the "Is this video for children" box is checked. But a number of creators with mainly child audiences don't do this because disabling comments lessens engagement. But any engagement with minors is asking for trouble.

Double-plus belly ungood citizen! That is no respectful and constructive way of idealizing your opinions on "Yarnell drives 80 mph on a school zone!"

This has been going on since the past 6 years at least. Everything is so shadowbanned that's it's impossible to make a visible comment on there.

I mean they broke the dislike comment button 10 years ago and it's just kinda of been there ever since doing nothing.
