One of the boys at That Being Said mentioned this before, but the reason Phil is so weirdly defensive about Derich might be because hes one of the 3 genuine, actually, true and honest, bona fide fans of him.

Yeah, I'd start making questions at myself in the mirror too if the only people liking me were an autist coomer with a "pretty young girls" playlist on his YT channel, a schizoid tranny with nothing else in his life other than his epic IT job and DSP's streams, and the #3 slot occupied by a monthly WingsOfRedemption IQ whale with our tax dollars to freely spend, gotta say.

Yep, like I said a few pages back. You can tell that Phil hates his parents secretly but pretends to love them. This is what I've pieced together form listening to all the wpig restreams

In addition to all the "big" reasons he has to dislike them, I have a feeling what really makes Phil bitter is a bunch of little incidents. We know how badly Phil still holds a grudge, and while the Wolverine story is probably the most notable example of Phil being a bitch over something incredibly small, I bet there's at least a handful of other tiny incidents where his parents said no and Phil refused to let it go. All that being said, I don't think he outright hates his parents...but he basically has the mindset of a smug teenager that thinks he knows better than all the adults in his life, and he's probably annoyed at all the things they haven't apologized for that, in reality, they probably have no memory of, but Phil won't ever let go.

I always view Dave as a victim in this, Linda sounds insufferable and full of insecurities and she implanted them all on Phil very early on. Dave during Phil's early years had an affair as did Linda but this was when Phil was in the early teens. You have to think Phil inherited his negative qualities from somewhere and its probably Linda.

IMO, Dave gets off pretty easily, but it almost feels like there was some Phil fanfiction at one point that wrote Dave as being this swell normal guy who was constantly browbeaten by his wife, who is the real person responsible for spoiling Phil, while Dave wanted to be a tough and traditional dad. I mean, it's not impossible, but it seems unlikely. Dave feels like a normal enough bloke from the very limited information we have on him, but there's not really anything to suggest he wasn't part of Phil being a spoiled brat. At best, he's still responsible for letting it happen. But it's not like Dave was putting his foot down when Phil flew him out to do chores around his house, while making them stay at a hotel. That doesn't really strike me as the behavior of a neutral party that just took a hands off approach and let Linda be a helicopter parent. For all we know, Poppa Burnell comes home every night, grumbles about how hard his job is to Linda/how everyone there is a moron who can eat the shit out of his ass.

Anyways, one thing I wanted to point out that could corroborate him having a new car. Phil mentioned a few months ago that he paid $200 to renew his vehicle registration.
I disregarded that as likely a typical Phil lie, but if that was actually true, that means he must have bought a hybrid or electric vehicle, because registration costs wouldn't be that high for a normal gas vehicle.

I had to look this up because I figured it was some sort of re-release, which it is, but I think it'll prove a point about Phil and his delusion about being like the AVGN, as he fancies himself.

I mean, the whole joke of the AVGN episode of the original NWC was that it was just an overpriced piece of shit since it was just 3 demos of other games. Now apparently they're re-releasing it and making it 150 games as a bunch of speedrun challenges. It's crazy how the AVGN episode, despite being written to be intentionally absurd, is somehow less retarded than Phil's process to get it and how it'll play out.

AVGN:
* James realizes he will never have a complete NES collection after buying a bunch of games at an auction
* Calls that other faggot, don't remember his name but he was really cringe from what I remember
* Both decide to compete for the gray and golden cartridge, winner takes all
* James realizes the game is a piece of shit and smashes the cartridges

DSP:
* Phil begs his audience for money to get the game after going on a rant about how Keemstar exploits idiots for money (sounds like an old Simpsons joke)
* Has no friends or anyone he can play with, mostly because he's a hermit that makes the Nerd look like a social despite the Nerd being written as an antisocial outcast
* Usual Phil stream where he will most likely just beat the games since they won't be hard and will miss the point of doing them in record time of any sorts
* "Tip me or I'm gonna stop playing"
* Probably a 20 minute rant about how no one congratulated him for beating those games and how he deserves respect because he also played SF6 "at a high level" the night before

One is a skit intentionally written to be absurd and the other is a real person. It's madness.

I've said it before, but Phil is right more often than not, even though the only takes he's "right" on are bitching about everything. He's not wrong about things like other youtubers, the vydia industry and things like that. The problem is that he's not any better and he usually talks like he's above everyone morally. Of course LCL is trash and it's exploiting retards with the whole Boogie thing, that's like Cr1tikal making a 15 minute video with his dumb fucking retarded voice going "uh guys, Boogie screwed up, lying about cancer made the hair in my balls go sideways and curl like the Naruto emblem, very screwed up guys" or the fat pajeet doing the same even though he's actively on that show.

I think it's his ODD and Ego. I think if he was forced to kick and ban Derich, it'd prove that the detractors were right all along and Phil was wrong, which is why he's waiting for an easy out like Derich getting jailed for sexual assault (like he told Brian). There's also the theory that Derich's parents are paying Phil behind the scenes for babysitting.

I know parents are shitty nowadays, but holy shit, what are his parents doing where they let him do what he does all day.

It's worth reposting since it was featured, but from what I've seen in the Boogie thread, it's a nothingburger. And I largely agree. I mean, the wording on it alone pretty much guarantees it won't happen and is just to drum up drama, but even if they wanted to go ahead with it, there isn't a case. While his takes are retarded, DSP is allowed to have an opinion, and there's no way they can prove damages from DSP's statement. To give a Phil equivelent, it'd be like if he tried to sue the farms for all the posts that say he's stalling on his streams, or that he has behind the scenes tips lined up or whatever. Or if a reality show tried to sue Reddit because people on their boards say their shows are scripted. Or even more broadly, a TV station trying to sue someone for saying their show sucks.
