phil does not seem to understand the phrase "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

this phrase is about corruption, that while you might start off with the best of intentions, eventually, you might let your beliefs blind you and you'll end up the villain without realizing it.

phil seems to think it means "if you're around long enough eventually everyone will hate you."

And will completly ignore that the "50-50 corner guessing game" seems to be part and parcel of every high level player. But ture and hanest SF top tier 4th place Evo 2005 player DSP will just call it scrub ahnline paddern play. If Phil would try his hand now in this kind of setting he would be kicked out in round 1. And it would have nothing to do with age.

That's one thing I always wanted to post about but I keep forgetting, so thanks for reminding me. Phail keeps crying about muh corner guessing game, he's quite literally just calling it gambling now, but back when he played those shitty Capcom collections whenever he played Super Turbo and get pissed he'd pubstomp noobs by picking Bison, get the noob in the corner and then did Bison's bullshit corner string, which is quite literally unbeatable for several characters in the game, and even characters that have a way to escape it, like Balrog, have to be really precise in their timing. There's no guessing, there's no real skill, there's no challenge, it's the fighting game equivalent of curbstomping someone.

Which brings me to my next point, he's legitimately the only person I know who is smiling ear-to-ear when he gets to pubstomp noobs all day, if he had his way he'd legitimately only want to face Silvers and Golds in SF6 so he can wreck them and double perfect them without a challenge. Whenever I played some sort of competitive game I had no fun curbstomping noobs because it's just a waste of time, or if I got dominated by a way stronger player I also didn't have fun because I didn't learn anything if I didn't even know just how I got destroyed. Close matches are the most fun matches for me and people I talked to about it but when you see Phail barely beat someone he lets out an annoyed sigh like he's an exhausted menial laborer who looked at his watch and saw that he still has to work 5 more hours. In some SF6 streams some sets where he copes and whines the most are ones in which he WON, only because it was a close 2:1 set. He just wants the opponent to lie down and die, or if they're better than him they should be convincingly better so he can take his hands off the stick, take the 1 lost match and then run from the set to prevent losing more MR.

I don't really like the term "media literacy", mainly cause it's a term used by leftists to bitch that people don't care about their schizo tumblr theories about shows, but Phil has zero media literacy. He's more like Mac on It's Always Sunny, where he's just unable to keep up with the plot of a movie without constant reminders or grasp anything that's not directly explained to him.

Like how he actually thinks the message of Scrooged was that Bill Murray did nothing wrong, he did everything correct, and it's everyone else that just needed to see that.

Funny thing is that a good Rashid is 1000x more annoying than a good Cammy.

As far as 50/50 guessing games, thats part of the mind games of playing fighting games. Phil is just mad cause he falls for the shimmy 9 out of 10 times

Boogie got paid out of his LCL contract and I was wondering how much he could have gotten.

Do any of you by chance remember the offer made to dsp by keemstar on that side scrollers interview?
Did he offer him 25K or 50K in advance? And did keem mention other conditions?

If none of you know of the top of your head, I look it up myself, but knowing the detractors, at least when it comes to the roach, some of you have a near photographic memory.

They kept the core gameplay the same while improving some things, like being able to fast-forward time without having to wait, being able to move while aiming, and supposedly improved the survivor AI. Knowing Phil, he'll(probably)still do worse than the last time he played the original(unless he resorts to reading guides in preparation so he can pretend he's knowledgeable about Dead Rising).

God I hope they fixed the survivor AI. I love the DR series (even 4), but the AI in the first game was some heinous shit.

We dont really know the details but the talk was about 50k in advance for the first year or something?

It was 50k, Keem also offered it via twitter and DSP said not to DM via twitter some months prior to The Interview, but to email him or call him during specific times. Keemstar did so, and Phil ignored him. Keem then phoned Phil on stream, which only pissed off both parties more, especially as Phil refused to pick up and instead ranted about Keemstar.
And by the way, Kat agrees.

Just in case you care about it, here is my conclusion:

I estimate, the maximum Boogie could have gotten, was about 80K (that is the most generous estimation)

While I'm here though:
There was a bit of Dsp lore, that was always funny to me, but I can't really remember it anymore.
I believe, he demonetized his own channel, or couldn't get the payments anymore, because he had it linked to some his google+ account or something?

I can't really remember it, but I believe Metokur talked about it once in some IBS stream. Anyone know, what that was and link me to a thread or something?

I think you're referring to when he used his then girlfriends google credentials to skirt a ban for telling the wheelchairs to click the ads which is a no-no.

I've noticed this too, DSP has such a childish definition of "good gameplay" when it comes to fighting games and his kahntent. He could steamroll retards who have no idea how to antiair for 3 hours straight, all the while still smashing his joystick and screaming at his TV, but if he ends at 1600MR he'll say it's the best he's ever played and the best SF stream he's ever done. It's entirely wrapped up in whether or not he's winning, just like his excuses.
 
Maybe this belongs in the DSPolitics thread but it’s pretty much the only important question in my mind: What is Phil’s take on the Mr. Beast tranny scandal?

I don't think he'll mention it. Sure he hates Mr. Beast since Mr. Beast is popular, but this tranny shit is in no way relevant to Phil.
