I could see either scenario. I've harped on this a lot in the past, but Trump is unique in that he has the profile to be indestructible socially while also not be someone that can be ignored. He is not the endgame, but he is the first big fucking step to healing that doesn't involve buckets of blood. Because nobody else can hope to take that step outside of bloody revolution, since we already saw with Kari Lake what would happen to a dangerous pretender to the throne.
