I bought a new power supply and a vidja card and a SSD and Steam won't update! It's a crock of shit, worse than the dark days of DOS!

I just wanna play Fallout: New Vegas and Max Payne 3!
 
Odd, never had that problem.
 
The client or your games? Uninstalling and reinstalling Steam should fix the client if logging out and back in didn't help.
 
are you using a firewall? try turning it off and restarting steam.

If that doesn't work, try deleting the clientregistry.blob in your steam folder.
 
I updated my network drivers and Steam runs perfectly.

And I feel a little embarrassed about this whole thread :oops:

Open a Steam account because I want to buy a game.

Put funds on it.

Forget my VPN is on. Put funds on Steam.

Within 30 seconds (literally) Steam has seized my account for "fraudulent activity".

Can't get a response from support.

Go to bed. Wake up - my money "has been refunded" and I will receive it "in the next several business days" which means I will never see it.

Can't shop on Steam. By the time this fucking debacle is sorted, the sale will be over and I won't get what I want.

If you give your money to Steam, you are genuinely a fucking retard.

Never again. Physical forever. FUCK Steam and that fat fuck Gabe.
