This would be consistent my reading of the the documents posted in the past month which was that they weren't informed of the situation (and thus, likely, of the report from the pastor which precipitated the events) until after the search was about to get underway.

On May 16th, 2024 a mandatory reporter reported (after four people had confided in him) in person to the police about possible child abuse at the Rekieta residence.

It is very likely that the mandatory reporter's information went from the police to CPS on 5/16/24. Technically CPS might have "ignored it" in the sense that they waited for the police to investigate and decide what to do. CPS did not intervene until the police told them that the Rekietas were going to be arrested.
