This is the inevitable result of the GOP’s disdain for teleprompters. They tried to imply that, by using teleprompters, Democratic politicians are unprepared and mindless, but…listen to him. Trump makes no fucking sense and he’s boring. He does have that superficial charm that sociopaths tend to have, but he’s just not smart enough to keep people captivated solely on that. He thinks he’s funnier and more interesting than he actually is, probably because he’s always surrounded by people who kiss his ass and never criticize him.

Depends on what they're about. If it's to prevent dumping or market manipulation, or to encourage manufacturing to relocate to friendlier countries or back to the US, it's a good thing, but if it's to protect domestic industry from legitimate competition it's a bad thing.

That's what happened to automakers in the 70's. There were import quotas that restricted the number of cars that Japanese automakers could sell in the US, but because of how mismanaged US automakers were, how myopic the unions were, and how poor the quality of their products were, people were paying a premium for Toyotas and Hondas imported under the quota and it made those manufacturers a lot of money.

I'm surprised it took this long for his supporters to get tired of him. The mainstream media ruined the "old classics" for me back in 2016 when they repeated them at nauseum.
