She’s not! Evie is nursing home material at this stage. As my 95 year old dad used to say “nursing homes are God’s waiting room”.

Hopefully her half brother keeps her out of his house, otherwise he’ll never be rid of her. As long as he forces her to move into an apartment of her own, State of Oklahoma is going to eventually put her in a nursing home when they see she doesn’t have a living situation that is compatible with her many mental and physical problems and that she absolutely cannot do ADLs without assistance.

Yes, TriCare (military insurance) is very good. I remember this coming up a lot in the munchie thread because Jacquie’s (RIP) husband had TriCare, so she could get as many tubes put in her as she wanted (too bad about the one that killed her…)

Here's hoping he has an older house with no open floor plan, and/or no doorways wide enough to accommodate a bariatric wheelchair—and a willingness to let her go into a state-run facility before adding a wheelchair ramp and widening doorways (which was Jeremy's ultimate downfall).

Since he's her brother, he won't be making decisions with any input from his dick, and his wife (who you know would get stuck with Evie's care) is going to have opinions too. That he's expecting her to pay the costs instead of swooping in to rescue her on his own dime is a good sign.

I've seen too many decent people ruin themselves for the sake of shiftless, parasitic relatives because "they're family," so if they can hold the line and not let this vampire enter their home, props to them.

Call me a dumb Canadian but the only circumstances I know of where you must be in by a certain date, is some form of subsidized or fully covered social housing.

That makes sense to me because any form of social housing in Canada had insanely long waiting lists.

I'd guess a sight unseen rental might have strict rules so there are not squatters. There is no way she got subsidized here the wait lists are years long even for homeless people.

Does a part time national guard get health insurance covered? He only works for them one night a week, and full time for two weeks a year, what in Australia we call army reserves, which is often just uni students trying to earn a quick buck. I’ve seen the pay scale linked elsewhere (probably reddit) that shows him earning only around $1400-1500/month. I had assumed Yar had health insurance through his full time accounting job, but it appears he’s quit that if his linked in is anything to go by. I suspect they are trying to set themselves up as family vloggers, because Yar is now in almost every video, talked about doing vlogmas if she’s too busy /tired with baby, and also talked about slowing down at work and not pursuing promotion etc. I think Fat Alex is in for a big shock when she realises just how much babies cost in upkeep. Guaranteed the kid will be in disposable nappies, and I expect that while she might try to breastfeed, she’ll have this kid on bottles pretty early so Yar can feed it. I’ve no doubt they can afford it, I just think she’ll be surprised by the cost.

Yes, TriCare (military insurance) is very good.

I doubt she got her gastric bypass through Tricare. She has said many times that she didn’t have to jump through any hoops to get approval. No six month medically supervised weightloss plan that is one of Tricares requirements.

ETA: It appears that NG reservists can access Tricare, so Yar could potentially have Tricare coverage. Doesn’t mean they paid for Alex’s gastric bypass surgery though because according to her own Q&A about her surgery, she had zero co-pay and no supervised weight loss program.

If Alex were smart, (she’s not), instead of buying a ton of cutesie-poo baby stuff she doesn’t need, she’d be stocking up on diapers. I was going to add formula concentrate or powder but assuming a baby will do fine with a certain type and brand can be a huge mistake.

Notwithstanding that, she’s in a position to stock up on necessities. It’s fun to buy darling little outfits and toys but a baby doesn’t care. A bunch of onesies and basic, easy to wrangle clothes are all she needs.

What she can’t buy and is going to run out of very quickly is sleep and energy.

I hope she listens to experienced moms because she’s heading into this more naive than most.

I haven’t seen her baby registry but have read it has two $1700 bassinets on it. I’d assume one for downstairs and one for upstairs. Supposedly plays womb sounds while baby sleeps. She is completely clueless about what baby needs. I’m not suggesting going back to olden days where baby slept in a draw, or a laundry basket, but a $1700 bassinet that they’ll grow out of in 6 months is ludicrous. I guess one could argue she had the sense to put them on her registry and hope someone else buys them for her. Can only imagine what the pram would be, and that could easily double as the second bassinet for downstairs.

The pregnancy is her carte balance to overeat even more than usual but I'm starting to think she must be gaining so fast just to spite the Ob Gyn who had the audacity to warn her not to exceed 10lbs until birth or she will go over their bmi limit.
(She uses slimming filters so it's up for debate what she actually looks like, I can never tell. But this is alarming.)
Eta: Can't quote you Otterly, but the fat has to go somewhere, right? And I've heard adipose tissue accumulation in excess can impair cognitive function. It's just convenient for her to blame it on the pregnancy.
My prediction is she will not make any improvements in her lifestyle after the child is born despite struggling in all aspects. Most likely she will hire help or move in her wacko mom, complain about fat shaming, shop and eat to soothe herself. Might give ozempic a try and do a mommy makeover but will not address the root of the problem.

Definitely NOT worth the watch. She does nothing except fuck around trying to reset her Apple Watch, make herself a cold brew coffee with extra CAR-a-Mel, touch everything in Walmart, and watch Yar put together her new tables and mulch the garden. She does manage a stroll with Bruno that she pretends is 2 miles. So much for one baby item a week for the second trimester, she bought four onesies.

I think Yar is going to be a Mr Mom now he’s not working apart from his army reserve commitments. He’s definitely featuring more in her vlogs.
