No, it was a letdown. The premise is that the team are now has beens, kind of like Ghostbusters 2, also they hate each other and refuse to work together until they learn Gavin got his helmet off, so they go on the mission not to rescue him, but to get their parts of the super suit off. It wasn't funny. And there were inside jokes that wouldn't make sense to anyone else, like Gavin's killer snail. At the end they tease a third movie where they travel through time, but thankfully that never happened.
Throughout the entirety of the second film, I just kept waiting for Gavin to get the helmet back on. His attempt at a southern accent goes beyond humorously bad to just straight-up annoying, and he talks that way for a good 90% of the runtime.

Joel got a mention by name in the recent F**kface, they were talking about the FEAR machinima they did and that Joel directed it. I wonder if they were obligated to not mention him in content, but now that the company is closing it matters a whole lot less.

yea i think the reaction to ryan's actions are insane, sure he's a piece of shit for cheating on his wife but apparently no one cared about that they're just angry at him sleeping with his fans as if every single musician, actor and athlete through time hasn't done the exact same thing? do they also consider all of them rapists? nothing wrong or weird about banging your fans "buht it's a power difference" by this logic you're never allowed to date someone richer or poorer, hotter or uglier, someone you like more then they like you, it's so stupid.
When I first heard about it, and saw Jack crying in that video, I thought I'd misunderstood what happened and that Ryan actually raped a fan, just from the way they were reacting and calling him a monster. But nope, he just cheated on his wife. And they were crying over it. That's when I knew they were insane.
Also sorry to double post but her last movie has only 35k views in 2 years

It's only 14 minutes long, and yet I've never been able to finish it. It's just so fucking boring.
I can't help but notice that someone is missing...

I'm honestly surprised they're still ignoring him. But at this point, if I was Joel, I wouldn't want to acknowledge them for being fucked over that hard just for not being a liberal. The greatest sin in Hollywood.

I'm pretty sure it was because of the political brainrot the employees have, and not out of any obligations the company might have had.

Joel doesn't seem to bothered by it, I don't think he even acknowledged the fact that the company he helped build is scheduled to be buried
And if he did, it was a blip, and then he went right back to crypto-posting

The amateur charm of the first movie is completely gone, and it's pretty fucking boring.

Missing amateur charm is, sadly, unsurprising with later Rooster Teeth. Although spending the movie trying to get rid of their special equipment is not how I expected things to go. Especially with Gavin's character choosing to be stupid? Also Gavin being stuck doing an accent... I'm a bit curious to see how that's meant to work, but not nearly enough to watch.

Day 5 season two answered next to nothing, in fact it just introduced more questions. The only thing it answered was that there's some shadow group behind the no sleep thing, all of whom can sleep without issue. And for some reason Joel and Shannon's characters are back and magically find the heroes so they can all be together. There's also this new reporter woman who is the meth dude's love interest but she doesn't add much. It ends on a cliffhanger, and apparently they couldn't do the story they wanted because it'd cost too much, so they tried to get season three financed by a studio, but no one wanted it, so it never happened.

It's a shame because both of these projects had decent starts. Nothing amazing, but they could have built up to something. And then everything fell apart.
Decent start with amateur charm, only to squander it, not uncommon with later Rooster Teeth (e.g., RWBY). The nice thing about Lazer Team is that the first movie is a standalone thing. Meanwhile Day 5 and Crunch Time open a bunch of mysteries which just never get answered.

They mention "Heyman" being the best at Halo among them. I guess he's not totally persona non grata to them, or maybe they just had a slip of the tongue. They also use Ryan's technical difficulties gag. All is forgiven I guess!

You know, everything aside... I can't help feeling a bit of genuine bittersweet emotion at this video. I know these people's decisions were instrumental in tanking their own company, but you can still see a bit of the dynamic and humor these dudes created (with Joel, of course). The decent humor between them aside, it's some perfect tragic framing: right before the end, your tragic hero has one last return to humanity, a last hurrah of his pure self before being consumed. These people both made RvB and Rooster Teeth, and they ruined it all the same. They sold the company. They signed off on the diversity hires, the vanity projects, the overexpansion. This is what they chose. I'll just remember the good times that they brought.

Godspeed, you retarded cockbites.

Also Burnie is clearly the funniest and smartest of the group.

And the worst part is that outside of cheating on his wife and being a terrible father figure to his kids what he did wasn't even all that bad. So he used is niche internet micro celebrity status and fucked much younger women. The chicks he fucked were all of legal age, they all gave explicit consent,,,,,,
A lot of the anger came from the thought that he was smashing underage box, instead of just banging ugly BPD sluts,,,,,,
When I first heard about it, and saw Jack crying in that video, I thought I'd misunderstood what happened and that Ryan actually raped a fan, just from the way they were reacting and calling him a monster. But nope, he just cheated on his wife. And they were crying over it. That's when I knew they were insane.
I should look back into that. My memory of it is that some 17 year old lied and said she was 18, so Ryan technically banged an underage girl, which means he's practically a pedophile who basically raped a child, and that's why everyone was crying that they didn't know they worked with such a horrible monster and felt personally betrayed and traumatized *sob* *sob* *sob*.

They had to fire him, but boy did they play it up. Also maybe my memory is wrong, seems the lying 17 year old thing wasn't true?

Also I actually think Ryan's firing is what killed the already dying achievement hunter. At that time Geoff, Gavin, and even Michael (and I guess Jack) were pretty much done with things, regularly absent and even when present they'd sometimes phone it in. The only regularly appearing and consistently funny members remaining were Jeremy and Ryan (and Ryan seems to have been responsible for keeping things fresh (VR, skyfactory)). Then Ryan got fired, which not only removed his skill, but also made the old members care even less.

With Ryan gone they had a skill vacuum, so they tried... something... that's why they had so many trial balloons and guest appearances (anyone remember Iffy?). Not that it worked, and it was too late anyway: the time to hire interesting talent wasn't just before Ryan was fired, it was way back when Geoff and Gavin started to get bored.

As an aside, I actually think Fiona *was* funny. Except she found like 5 good bits, and then she just repeated those over, and over, and oh hey she's gone already? Ultimately she was a bad hire.

joel's doin crypto now?
Yeah. Kind funny as I remember him being anti crypto 10+ years ago.

The age of consent is 17 in Texas so even if that was true it wouldn't be statutory rape. Ryan is a POS, but the women are retarded BPD hoes who are not innocent victims in this. They only got upset at the end when they found out they were not the only special fan Ryan was having sex with.

Also Burnie is clearly the funniest and smartest of the group.
I would say Joel is the funniest, but Burnie might be the smartest. He's the only one to cash out before RT crashed and burned.

The problem with Fiona is that while she can be funny, she doesn't want to be the type of funny she's good at. This clip, for example, she just reacts deadpan to everyone doing bad French accents. That was a good bit and she works well as the straight man. But that's not what she wants to be. Much like how Jack works as the butt of the joke, but is too insecure to accept that role. Fiona wants to be the lead, the one who grabs the attention and makes everyone laugh. She wants to be a less angry Michael, a less stupid Gavin, a less drunk Geoff, and a more on topic Joel. But she sucks at that, and rather than try to get better, she attacked everyone who dared say she was bad at it.

Also, the fact that Trevor only hired her because he needed a black girl and consulted other people in the company instead of the AH guys she'd actually be working with.

Instead of executing him for being dumb enough to believe all of his fans were 18, it should be because he raw dog fucked 50+ fans while whining about how sexless his life is because his wife is a dried up creek star fishing her way through their marriage.

i stopped watching before all the diversity hired (ray doesn't count), all i've seen of them is some clips here and there and they just don't seem to be as fun as the guys, did anyone actually like them?
