Throughout the entirety of the second film, I just kept waiting for Gavin to get the helmet back on. His attempt at a southern accent goes beyond humorously bad to just straight-up annoying, and he talks that way for a good 90% of the runtime.

When I first heard about it, and saw Jack crying in that video, I thought I'd misunderstood what happened and that Ryan actually raped a fan, just from the way they were reacting and calling him a monster. Especially with Gavin's character choosing to be stupid? Also Gavin being stuck doing an accent... I'm a bit curious to see how that's meant to work, but not nearly enough to watch.
Decent start with amateur charm, only to squander it, not uncommon with later Rooster Teeth (e.g., RWBY). The nice thing about Lazer Team is that the first movie is a standalone thing. Meanwhile Day 5 and Crunch Time open a bunch of mysteries which just never get answered.

The problem with Fiona is that while she can be funny, she doesn't want to be the type of funny she's good at. This clip, for example, she just reacts deadpan to everyone doing bad French accents. That was a good bit and she works well as the straight man. But that's not what she wants to be. Much like how Jack works as the butt of the joke, but is too insecure to accept that role. Fiona wants to be the lead, the one who grabs the attention and makes everyone laugh. She wants to be a less angry Michael, a less stupid Gavin, a less drunk Geoff, and a more on topic Joel. But she sucks at that, and rather than try to get better, she attacked everyone who dared say she was bad at it.
