The Subreddits being banned (again) isn't really surprising

Its not surprising of course but there wasn't any alternative course when it came to Reddit.

Alternative names were tried but the DSPDiscussionX won out so what can you do? It doesn't really matter anyways because the bannings were driven by the reporting. If a new name had become big it would have been reported and nuked. Same as with the Wings subs which did change names.

You're technically right about this but you're wrong at the same time. Unedited clips was the rationale given to take down the sub but thats not the reason why it really was taken down.

A. Everybody posts unedited clips. Half of Reddit should be banned if they really proactively went after people doing it. Its pretty hard to have a discussion about certain things if you have to go and add some sort of transformative sound effect on animation on every piece of media beforehand.

B. If clips can be taken down through DMCA and thats questionable since fair use hasn't been concretely defined in these cases then only Phil or Reddit (acting on it own accord instead of being tricked) can to do it. Not some random third party

C: Some of the clips taken down were edited which shows the system was just blindly accepting strikes.

will also get a Subreddit banned and it was the original reason for the first couple of DSPDiscussions got banned. They're even dumber than Phil at this rate.

The original sub and the subs after than were banned due to mass DMCAing and by extension Reddit's incompetence. The rationale the striker gave is completely ancilliary.

This is a really good point as Dave himself states that he is clipped "out of khantext" then it falls under fair use as it doesn't act as a market replacement as the material of the clip is different from the broadcast.

Either someone trying really hard to convince you they're the least obsessed person with Phil and everyone else is a weirdo and should feel bad, or actual a-log sperg outs from people who want Phil to be a-logged but are too pussy to do it and expect you to do the dirty work for them.

Which again, by cutting the schedule, begging and boring parts of a 90-120 minute "podcast" can again arguably fall under fair use. All the shit Snort Burnell does makes it undeniably so even if it can be a visual and audio horrorshow

Usually that's how it works. Reddit has just been stepping up taking down "bullying" communities since they got IPO. Some small subs I follow have gotten warnings about it. KingCobra and DSP subs both went down within a day of each other, and both have been open for at least 3 years that I know of.
Admins are actually looking into these reports.

The main lolcow they cover is the Dabbler aka Stuttering John, I was following his antics 2 years ago and him and Phail are very much alike, especially now during Phail's midlife crisis arc. 90% of Stuttering John's podcast is him seething about trolls or reminiscing about Glory Days. The big difference between them is that StutJo goes outside. Some other "regulars" they rag on are Howard Stern and the Opester and they became just as fucking boring as Phil is now so they have a lot of experience covering people like Phail.

We definitely do. Phil is so toxic with his compulsive lying and slimy behavior that once you follow him for a short while, you instinctively react by never believing him and assuming the worst. Which is correct most of the time, but not all the time. This has led to the previous schisms with Null and Friends when they visit here.

I'm curious, what do you guys think Phil means when he describes his content as "meaningful"? Is it just a buzzword he picked up or does he legitimately believe his horrible streams are meaningful to people?

The basis of "meaningful" content is because Phil makes 6 figures. He also believes when ironic trolls email and tip message him saying "I've been a fan since Game You Played 12 years ago, and it changed my life".
