First time meeting Jessi, huh?

This is clearly modeled on the photo shoots people do of babies conceived by IVF surrounded by all of the syringes their mom had to use during fertility treatments. I’ve never seen someone co-opt the idea to celebrate themselves; the almost bestiality is almost an afterthought to her massive self centeredness.

i get so cranky when these "debunking" channels fail to have even the slightest of critical thoughts about the sudden rise of things like formerly obscure medical conditions and transgenderism that seem to disproportionately be erupting specifically in middle class white women in their late teens and early 20s.
Probably not worth rocking the boat.

I've noticed a lot of munchies bleeding over into non-medical stuff I watch and listen to. It kinda reminds me of how Pentecostals will just randomly launch into their testimony except instead of finding Jesus it's about how they found MCAS and CFS. Nobody cares about your life story, Jan, I'm just watching cooking videos.

if we keep letting people hustle their way onto lifelong disability.
The nice thing about SSI in the US, which is what most young munchies wind up on because they don't have enough work hours to qualify for SSDI and I know less about that and can't speak to how long that lasts, is that they're only guaranteed the payments for 1-5 years. This can change depending on the disabling condition they're claiming, but for things that are highly variable in terms of "functional capacity" (which is what they're looking at when approving or denying claims most of the time), they will need to re-establish the consistency of their conditions before they're approved again.

From purely personal experience, both with family and with my job, SSI is pretty difficult for most people to get approved for quickly. I've had Stage 4 cancer patients denied SSI before, it can be a battle, and for good reason. Unfortunately for every years long battle a cancer patient has to get SSI, a former meth addict with ADHD can be approved first try. It's not a foolproof system and people do get on it that shouldn't, but for most it's not easy, and it's technically not meant to be lifelong.

Behold the one and only video she ever posts of Kenny “tasking.” It’s a simple retrieval after she “dropped” her pain pump controller thingy. The dog picks it up for her and brings it to her. That’s niceYOU KNOW THE PERSON FILMING THIS COULD HAVE DONE THAT TOO?
The other thing you can do, with a PCA controller on the floor, is pick it up by grabbing the cord by which it's attached to the pump. The cord is immediately to her left.

Usually a dropped PCA button is an indicator of effective analgesia, just be sure to place a continuous oximeter.
oh. it’s beautiful. Her brand new central line just … fell out of her chest. It didn’t get caught, it just fell out, landed on her feet, clear out of the blue. It must be her super slow EDS healing. Finally. Finally I can say it with my whole chest, with no flicker of doubt in my heart: OK MUNCHIE.
They didn't suture it in? I don't know that exact model, but I wonder if her fingers are covering the attachment point.

How in the fuck did it "fall out"?
Minor PL: Friend of mine needed one of these and a drain in her neck for a tumor.
She's one of those types of people that heals stupidly fast, like her skin started to heal around the drainage tube when it was left in for just an extra couple days. Even without that, that shit is SECURE.
They had to practically pry both out of her and left some pretty horrific scarring.

Even the wound on that munchie looks strangely large... do we think she literally pulled it out? Or fucked with the opening enough to loosen it?

I seriously cannot imagine those just popping out, they go in the fucking artery, don't they? Or am I confusing it with something else?

Ok imma a bit dim, but how can Tricia as described at the fantastically brilliant katefarmsshill, be allowed to take pics in hospital showing her treatment and what appears to be in a theatre setting.
in the clinics I work in we DONOT allow video or pics of procedures. Heck I remember an idiot woman asking to video her partners anal exam! WTF why would anyone want that on their memories in photo app lol!? I said absolutely not, its against Trust policy.
Maybe its different in the U.S, where you guys have to pay megabucks, therefore patients are entitled to do so, but it leaves nursing / medical staff wide open for doxxing or suing.
As for that girl it's amazing she can be in hospital with suspected sepsis, occult bleeding having blood transfusions, then go out to concerts or parties!
Im MATI on the internet rn due to resources being wasted, such as blood, a very precious resource, medication hospital beds and staff here.
same in the U.K unfortunately , where we are on our knees trying to give good care, THEN being asked by management how to save costs (my trust is 6 bill in debt). I thought stop immigrating illegals but I kept that shit tomyself lol

Rose has been busy on Tik Tok! I didn't include everything she posted, just the things that were most interesting. And I tried to make the videos smaller but I don't think it worked so I put them under spoilers instead. This is still a long post though because I also included summaries of each video so you guys don't have to hear her voice, you're welcome.

WARNING for last video: clearly visible bag full of blood. "Trigger warnings" are stupid but I did not want to see something that gross this morning and you probably don't either.
Video 1: Rose's weirdo boyfriend Blayze proposed to her. He did a bad job, because he doesn't actually say "Will you marry me?" or anything about marriage. Rose has to ASK HIM if he is proposing.
Video 2: Rose shows off the ring and announces her engagement. Her ring needs re-sized because she has baby fingers. The stone is tanzanite because she has a cat named Tanzanite.
Video 3: Rose realizes she gets to plan her wedding. She shows off her Saint Patricks Day outfit and you can see that one of her drainage bags (I think from the urostomy) is FULL OF BLOOD. Rose says she hopes to walk down the aisle in her gait trainer, and do her first dance in it too, "How cute would that be?" She also says she won't actually be legally married, this is probably because marriage can impact disability benefits.

WARNING: underwear shot and urostomy visible at the end of the video, it's not too bad but still a bit gross
She filmed an update about her urostomy after having it for 2 months. The first month was hell. She is trying to find supplies that work best for her and she is healing well. Then she shows off a blurry shot of her underwear and belly pooch with a small scar, oh sorry I meant it "pretty much splits open [her] entire abdomen." Then she shows the bag, thankfully it is mostly empty but you can sort of see the actual stoma at the top along with healed self harm scars on her thighs. She does not regret the surgery one single bit!

[SPOILER[

[/SPOILER]
And a room tour! She walks like a normal person in this video, with no support from a walker or gait trainer. Her pee bag is visible again, and it looks like it's full of cheap artificial fruit punch.
Her bed is a "sensory haven" that converts into an adult crib, she says it "keeps me safe every night" but doesn't say from what... does she sleepwalk? Does she just fall out onto the floor like Tricia's central line? Her closet is a mess but whatever so is mine. She has a reading corner with a special chair. There's more clothes in a wooden wardrobe, and it has a shelf full of medical stuff including what looks like incontinence underwear (like the type you get at the pharmacy or Walmart).

Rose also filmed this longer video talking about her previous suicide attempt. She references being part of a subculture community that I assume is the ABDL community. People in it "loved or hated" her and she eventually left due to bullying, but now the bullying has started again.
Rose "made a mistake" after she got her diagnosis. She attempted suicide, and said it was "medically impossible" for her to survive. She posted about it online, telling people she was going to die... but then she didn't die. People were upset that she lied, and the people who cared about her were upset that she put them through the fear of thinking someone you care about is dying. Rose is upset that she was "brutally attacked for years" instead of being treated with compassion. She repeats that people loved her, and says she is not being egotistical. She says that she is experiencing end of life symptoms of Stiff Person Syndrome and dysautonomia. Sometimes Rose will think she is dying, but won't actually die, but she will die eventually, so don't be mad at her when she tells everyone she's dying! She is not lying or being dramatic by talking about her death, and it's "beautiful" for her to grieve her own life.

My big question here... what did she do to kill herself? It was something so severe that she was 100% certainly going to die. But it was not severe enough to even make her unconscious, in fact she was perfectly able to tell everyone on instagram all about how she was dying! From my thankfully limited experience, if a person attempts suicide and it looks like it might actually be fatal, that person is probably in the ICU sedated and intubated... not posting on social media.

But anyway... tragedy strikes!
(warning: close up video of Rose's mouth, it's gross)

Rose TT - mouth caption.jpg
This is the only set of videos I recommend watching it yourself, they're short.
Rose does a lip sync video where the text on the screen says she has always wanted a diagnosis or a cure, but now it's permanent, and instead she gets surgeries. The end of the video is her in the hospital with her head all bandaged and the music says "be careful what you wish for." It looks like she is having an EEG (test for seizures and other brain conditions). The caption on that video says her oxygen dropped into the 30s (<70% is life threatening) and now she has lost vision and movement.

It will be very interesting to see how this develops. Yes indeed, be careful what you wish for!

Superior vena cava (great big vein), but yeah. Central lines and most drains (often not Penrose) are sutured in; you can't trust just adhesive and patient caution. It's usually just one or two stitches, and of course you can pull out anything if you believe in yourself, but they very specifically take action so it doesn't "just fall out."

USA hospitals (almost nothing is standardized in US hospitals, even across the same chain) usually have rules about filming/photos, but they're also difficult to enforce. Often it's just "without permission," or a prohibition on filming staff.

Who enforces it? The individual clinical staff, who are busy doing patient care, and who know that if they report filming to their charge or manager they'll likely be told to let it slide anyway, in interest of patient satisfaction surveys. Even the most uptight floor nurse has to weigh if she wants to make an enemy of a frequent flyer (whom she'll see again and again) and their attack parents with no backup, and take time away from other tasks to do so.

This dynamic changes once a patient is obviously (in a way that will be clear to Management) causing problems, but that's less munching and more trying to install a creepy meth boyfriend in the room or tampering with devices or attacking people. To floor-level staff, munchies at least tend to just moan, give complicated snack orders, demand Dilaudid and contribute to compassion fatigue; Quality and Risk can decide when the hospital officially notices their munching.

In the hospital room/ED: a photo just takes a second. In the OR: she probably did ask, and being young does help, even after the age where the surgeon will draw on your dolly where he's going in.

The adhesive over a central line, especially in an outpatient setting like she was in at the time, typically isn’t flimsy either. There’s also the cuff of the line, though she didn’t leave it in long enough for tissue to grow into the cuff. Seems that she did believe in herself enough to take off the dressing, yank that sucker out, and throw it on the floor. It’s not implausible it was sutured, Hickmans don’t have any attachment points like other lines and the suturing just has to wrap around it or through a separate, slip-on butterfly clip thing.
Family member had a Hickman line for chemo years ago. I asked a lot of questions about it since they were too overwhelmed to, and were still in the denial phase. Fortunately they did accept treatment, and after chemo and radiation are still cancer-free and doing well.

Edit: submitted too soon

There's an air embolism risk if it starts sliding out so absolutely nobody will forget to secure it.

The only CVCs I've seen legit fall out were homeless ESRD patients.

How is it even possible to be a prostitute AND a zero covid weirdo? Does she make the johns wear masks and condoms?

As a general rule, if they declare they do "sex work," they mean on OnlyFans or on another online platform. They're never talking about walking streets, lot lizard-ing, or giving blow jobs in the backseats of old Lincolns.

The ones who brag about doing sex work are never the people who have been brought so low by circumstances that their best shot at a roof over their head is selling their body in a seedy motel by the tracks so they can stave off withdrawals or the DTs.

My annoyance with this "sex work liberating!" crowd is a gripe for another thread.

Got this as an ad awhile back for an account called lymeadvise on Instagram. Reminded me of a particular kind of patient we’re well familiar with in this thread because that’s their client base/audience

He quite literally wrote the book.
You'll be shocked to know that his book is basically self-published. The publisher is "Sisters Media LLC," which is owned by his co-author, Kendra Neilsen Myles, who was a high-powered pharma manager until she had a kid and had a mental breakdown because parenting is fucking hard got diagnosed with - she claims - classical EDS! Imma go ahead and call shenanigans on that because this woman has perfect skin, which is. . .not a hallmark of classical EDS. Now her life revolves around "advocacy." She doesn't look like she was ever stupid enough to be an Afrin patient since she's still thin as a rail. But she certainly glommed on to him whilst running the quack circuit. A lot of the links on her various sites are defunct - seems the pandemic put a damper on her business.
