Know a beautiful young woman, went to school with my son, who has a ton of tattoos. Am sure she believes the tats make her look even better but they don't, not at all. Wonder what she will think as time passes and things change. Seriously, get the temporary tattoos. Another advantage of temporary tattoos - as they fade you can change them to suit your fancy.

That's the story with many young women these days. Having been to many car and motorsports events this summer, I've seen many women with just patches of tattoos haphazardly splattered anywhere. They are all terrible and probably are a reflection of their mentality. What makes me cringe internally is seeing a couple with a kid where both parents have gaudy tattoos.

It really is classic attention grabbing. Women nowadays will trashify their bodies to present themselves as the most desirable sex toy - and it's not just tattoos, many get complex body modifications too. Implants are the most frequent but others like elf ears and tongue bifurcations seem to be gaining in popularity. Guys get tattoos to present themselves as badass gigachad bvlls, and in the end it's the trashy girls who end up going to them. End result - trashy family who'll most often encourage children to trash themselves up, and so the cycle continues.

I’m fairly ambivalent on tattoos. I dont want any, but if other people do it’s their bodies so go for it. I will say that 90% plus of the ones I see are on a spectrum that runs from dreadful to hilariously dreadful. Occasionally you see a real artwork - once saw a guy with a Japanese koi running down his back and leg and it was incredible work. Must have taken weeks. It looked like a woodcut, really beautiful.
But most where I am are terrible. Your kids names on your neck or ankle. Bad feathers. Names of boyfriends (with some crossed out. ) Barbed wire around the bicep and Chinese characters for the gen x crowd. The odd dolphin. Tramp stamps. There’s a bloke who I sometimes see around the city with a full fried breakfast tattooed on his head.
A woman at my work got a full watercolour sleeve done gradually and kept showing it off to me as if I was terribly boring not having any and it was just such bad quality work. You should get one eh? Haha you won’t you’re so square! (Yes I am, you rude person you.)
You just smile and nod… another woman had something done very discreetly and it meant something to her. It was a crap tattoo but it did at least have a meaning.

I think the biggest problem with tattoos is the fact so many of them are low effort names or stencil type shit you could easily do with a computer. It also takes a certain vibe and placement of them for them to look good on someone. There's a lot less"personal" stuff now, cause the personal stuff gets framed as "embarrassing" by the media and as a result we now just have bland and ugly tattoos all over the place now. God help you if you got one that you find funny or cool other people don't like, oh no!

Tattoos based on personal artistic shit hat isn't just names or words are ones I can respect. I remember back in high school a friend showed up one day with a kinda cool weird iridescent flower tattoo that was based on a sketch he drew earlier. He got in trouble for obvious reasons involving school policy shit and his parents not knowing. Later after I moved out of that school they brought another kid into the school that got him into drugs (heroin type shit not harmless stuff like weed) and I never heard from him again aside from him posting depressing shit on his social media. I sometimes think about that guy and hope he's ok well over a whole decade later.
