Have you watched any of his videos? The problem isn’t that the subject matter is boring (for the most part it isn’t), it’s that he speaks in a really hard to listen to manner. You don’t need annoying presenters like Linus and his outfit, but it would help him to have a co-presenter so his monotone droning is less constant.

Steve's presentation voice is a bit raspy but it's not hard to listen to or even grating. He enunciates well and everything is intelligible.

Of course Linus, who is almost as obnoxious with his shilling as Ethan Klein, would consider anything that interferes with it as the ultimate degree of evil.

There’s surely a rule against that? In a gaming PC most of the budget should go to GPU, and unless you’re on Linux, Nvidia makes the best of those.

For sure Intel had a rule about it. Even when Intel CPUs were consistently garbage compared to AMD ones, LTT only ever bought Intel CPUs. AMD would be foolish not to have the same, since they’re desperate to grow Radeon market share.

You shouldn't take advices from a random internet schizo but Linus and Luke could be sitting on the next Patreon/Subscribestar/...

One of the problems of both platforms(patreon/subscribestar) is that they don't provide a good video hosting(hours longs videos), livestream hosting and more. This creates the problems where youtubers where they can't put their videos/lives as members only because patrons wouldn't be able to watch it without subbing there too. This is how you can find easily watch videos from youtubers who publishes it in advance.

I imagine that if Linus invested another few thousands/millions on it to improve their mobile app a lot, opened the site to everyone and marketed it better, it could be very successful

I love shitibquti sponsoring people when their store is out of stock 99% of the time. They also think 2.5 GBE is enterprise level. I regret going with UBI AP and switches, thankfully I run the controller locally and never bought a gateway and use opnsense instead.

My 2c on Ubiquiti: Their shit is overly expensive prosumer gear pushing a globohomo cloud control plane for everything. The only redeeming thing is they let you run your own local controller.

It's also maddeningly expensive if you try to build a network exclusively made up of Ubiquiti stuff. Their switches (especially 10 Gig capable ones) are way overpriced and they've pushed out some really bad software upgrades in the past.

The only thing I like about Ubiquiti is their access points since they're decent quality (when they're not suffering from crazy ground faults), more competitively priced and self-hosted UniFi is a dream compared to basically any other wireless LAN controller.
